She is so wack!

This week has been so long but so fun nonetheless. There was Christmas festivities, a shopping spree with Sierra, and lots of eating. Oh guess what! Ty bought Sierra the Twilight set for Christmas and she has already finished the series...Sierra, I am proud to call you my sister.

Something foolish happened today in Primary. Some little kid from a younger class turns around in his seat and just stares at me. His last name has the word "Pug" in it, so I naturally call him "The Pug". So here he is, just staring at me...so I give him the evil eye and he goes, "I despise you" and then just turns back around. Touche! It was awesome.

So, I pretty much have a crappy memory. If someone says, "hey remember when we did this or that..." I usually can't remember what the heck they are talking about. My mom does that to me all the time. Pretty much, I can only remember something if it comes into my head on my own..not if someone reminds me. When I remember a memory though, it is perfectly recalled...down to the tiniest details. Well, for some random reason, today I remembered all the times my mom would take Ty and I to the crappy mall called "Tri-city Mall" and we would ride up an escalator to the second floor and go see a movie in the theater. I said, "hey mom, remember when we used to see movies at Tri-City mall?" She said, "There wasn't a theater at tri-city mall." We argued back and forth for a while until I pretended to let her win, when in fact, I just ran to my room and texted Ty to see if he remembered. He did. He said, "Indeed, there was a theater." I later asked my dad, JUST to be sure and he said, "Yep, there was a theater...we saw movies there all the time." AH HA! So there MOM...I have proven my point that I am not crazy and that you are just...wack! teehee

Look, she is crazy!

Oh lookey...my new obsession. Guitar Hero..how I love you.

Music

Some people are moved by the powerful words of an amazing speaker. For me, it is music that moves me and makes tears stream from my eyes. I have always been strongly moved by music. I remember singing in the Honor Choir in high school and struggling to get the words out because I was crying. The music was that amazing.
I have never been good at expressing my feelings with words, but when listening to the radio today, a song came on that moved me and said everything that I feel for him right now.

Oceans apart, day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice, on the line
But it doesn't stop the pain
If I see you next to never
how can we say forever
Wherever you go, whatever you do
I will be right here, waiting for you
Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

27 days.

Happy Christmas!

My Christmas was glorious. On Sunday,we came home from church to find a case of Root Beer decorated like Reindeer. It was awesome...I like to call this particular one George Spiggot. Every Sunday before Christmas, my family takes a family photo. Aparently I was really excited.

We take one nice family one...and then the rest we do with crazy faces. I am trying to strangle my mom...a dream of mine actually. hahaha...just kidding. But seriously...
I always look forward to the Annual Christmas Eve party that my dad's side of the family throws. This year we feasted upon glorious food (to the point where I had to lay down haha) and opened glorious presents. I rolled in the dough...woot.
On Christmas morning, Ty and Sierra came over early to open gifts. I got 10 DVDs to add to my collection. I want you to know, I got High School Musical, High School Musical 2 AND Hairspray. My mom knows how to make me happy...give me Zac Efron! BUT my favorite present will be revealed the end of this post. After the unwrapping of gifts, we had linner (lunch/dinner) at my house with my mom's side of the family. I ate too many "funeral potatoes" of cheesy goodness which led me to sleeping on the couch for the rest of the party. It was great.

Today I spent most of the day shopping with Sierra and Ty. I slept over at their house so that we could go early enough to Target to get all of the sweet deals. Guess what I got for 20 bucks?! The first season of Psych! Yay! It was amazingly fun! And now...for the big reveal of my major awesome present.....

Closer View, you say?! Well here ya go...
That's right. My mom is the bomb dot com because she ordered me an "Edward Cullen" personalized license plate. People will see me rollin' on the streets and they will be hatin....HATIN' I SAY! teehee...I sent it to Stephenie Meyer to show her (make her jealous because I thought of it before her) how cool my mom is. True Story.

Woot, only 28 more days.

You see my ornaments...you hatin'

I saw this lovely post idea over at Mejojac Memo's and I thought it looked fun, so I had to do it. Mostly because I my family has the most pimped out Christmas Tree that ever was. Hmm, that didn't sound good...oh well. But seriously...we have the coolest Christmas tree. What we are supposed to do is feature our favorite ornaments. In my family my mom buys us kids our own ornaments, so here are my most favoritest:

1. Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip.
This ornament plays music and turns the dress from pink to blue...pink is my fav of course.

2. Ice Cream Cone Lauren
When I was a baby, my babysitter made Ty and I our own ice cream cone ornaments with our picture in it. I love mine because it is pink and because I am so cute haha.

3. Bears with Crystal Hearts
My grandma bought Ty and I ornaments with our birthstones as the heart. Mine is the amethyst heart and Ty's is the "diamond"...Aww, it is like Edward.

4. Charles Barkley and Danny Ainge
When I was little I loved Charles Barkley and Ty loved Danny Ainge of the Phoenix Suns, so my mom bought us these ornaments at a boutique. Charles sure is black!

5. Ted and Me
I got this pretty ornament frame and I put a picture of Ted and I from my winter formal my senior year of high school. I likey.

6. Gingerbread Lauren
I like it...I am cookie! Ty has one too, but I didn't feel like including it in the picture haha.

7. Wreath Ornament
When I was in 1st grade we made these ornaments for our mom's. Isn't it cute? I am proud.
8. The Grinch
This isn't my ornament, it actually belongs to my brother Zach, but it is one of my favorites! It is my favorite because it cracks me up...what the heck is he holding in his hand?!! A coconut with a face on it? Or did he decapitate someone? haha!

The song that changed it all

I never liked Zac Efron until I saw Hairspray this summer. This song did me in. Enjoy

Hey, did you know Ted comes home in 34 days? Yah, he does.

I never know what to put in the title box.

I am going to proceed to tell you all about my week. I actually have things to report on! Amazing.
1. My friend Kelci had me over the other day and we watched her favorite show. I had never seen it before, but after 3 episodes, I am hooked! It is about these two best friends, one pretends to be a psychic and the other one plays along. They work with the police sometimes, as detectives. The "psychic" is just really good at noticing things and has no "powers" whatsoever. I think it is funnier than the office...I'm not lying. Anyway, I watched it with her, and then I watched some more episodes with my brother on two different occasions this week. Woot! 2. Yesterday, as my dad and I were pulling into the parking lot of our local grocery store, I noticed 3 police cars. As I parked the car and got out, I said in a normal voice, "I see one, two, three cop cars..weird." Just as I was finishing my sentence, some guy who is like 100 feet away in his car yells out the window "Oh, there was just a robbery...a robbery," as if he had heard me count the cars! Me and my dad just look at each other like, "Who is this guy?"...My dad thinks it was a vampire with supernatural hearing powers. I said, "No way! He is sooo not attractive." But seriously...what the feces?!
3. My mom and I always have weird conversations. The other day my mom said, "Isn't it amazing how quickly the toilet seat warms up after sitting on it, and then how it quickly goes back to cold when you get off?" I said, "Uhhh, I have never noticed...you crazy!" Well, a couple of days ago, I ran into the bathroom to relieve my waters and when I sat down the seat was warm! This startled me because my mom and I were the only ones in the house and she had been busy with something else. Weird huh?...

4. My dad took me, Ty and Sierra out to see "I am Legend" starring Will Smith, yesterday. It pretty much was the scariest movie I have ever seen, but also one of the best. Will Smith is an amazing actor and if he doesn't win an award for this movie, I will beat someone up. Seriously, go see this movie...just take your man with you because let me tell ya...I had no one to hide behind...and it wasn't such an enjoyable experience. Oh, has anyone else noticed how disgusting it is to hear people chomping on popcorn during quiet parts in movies? Me and my dad almost barfed.
5. Yesterday my mom and I went to donate blood. The same receptionist was there to greet my mom and well, to ask me if I was "even 18?". Gah! Anyway, everytime I see her she reminds me of SOMEONE but I could never figure out who, until yesterday. She looks like the goblin from Gringott's Bank in Harry Potter! I mean, shockingly the same! Well, the goblin walked by me and my mom...stopped to look at something, flatulated and then walked away! It was ridiculous. I am positive she is a goblin for real.

6. Sometimes I go through "mail droughts"..and during these times I get bugged by girls who like Ted. Well, this week I got 3 letters...yep tres. It was awesome! Those jealous girls will be HATIN'!
They see my letters....
They hatin'
boooyah!
I am not saying that ^ anymore!
Anyway, have a happy weekend!

The rumors are true.

I'm sorry if i haven't been around to comment on your blogs lately. I have been in detox from a very difficult and stressful semester of college. I have now finished a year and 1/2 of college and I feel magnificent. To celebrate my ending of stress, I have been watching a lot of movies with Zac Efron. It's true. Yesterday I watched High School Musical 2 with Zac about 2 1/2 times. Some might say it is getting pretty serious. My brother was over yesterday when I was watching a movie with Zac Efron and he told me to get a life. Well my response is, "I finally have!" Movies with Zac are great. When I watch a movie with Zac, he makes me smile, and relieves my stress and I finally feel like I am on vacation. The rumors are true, I watch movies with Zac Efron daily, and sometimes multiple times a day.

Bye Bye Vanessa Hudgens, sorry Ted, I love watching movies with Zac Efron.

The Sushi tried to kill me.

So, yesterday I emailed Ted and asked him this question:

"Hey, I have a verrrrrrry important question to ask you. I mean, this is verrrrrrry important so pleeeeeeeeease answer. Do you like Egg Nog? Just give a straight up answer."

This is what his reply was:
"Egg Nog? I freakin' love it. If I am not mistaken, I remember you saying you don't like it at all. 2 Nephi 2:11"

Well, I am not gonna lie, I didn't know what that scripture was, so I had to look it up. Here is what it said: "For it must needs be, there is an opposition in all things."

And that is why I love him. He respects me opinions....sigh.

Anyway, on to the main topic of discussion. SUSHI.
Have you ever had it? If not, don't.
About 2 weeks ago, I took my friend Kelci out for Sushi because I had received a 50 dollar gift certificate from someone. Neither of us had ever had it, so we decided to be adventurous. Too bad it was also my first near death experience. Here is me in front of the dastardly place.

Well, Kelci and I are foolish....but you already knew that.
We pretty much didn't know what we were doing when it came to ordering, so we ordered some random dish. Turns out it was straight up, hard core Sushi. NOT a sushi ROLL. Who knew there was a difference?! We are just a couple of crackers that don't know anything!
Here is what they brought out to us...
That is my finger pointing to the most offensive, life threatening part of the cuisine. Oh how that green mass sends shivers down my spine. Eeeek...the eeeeebie jeeeeebies!
So, as we were exploring the disgusting various flavors of the raw fish, we were both curious about the green mass. We both decided it looked like guacemole and guacemole is delicious and friendly, so we braved it. I went first. I took a big glob and plopped into my untrained-sushi mouth and I think I saw my life flash before me. I resisted the urge to chuck the heinous stuff out my throat, and instead kept a very calm face so I could trick my friend into thinking it wasn't so bad. I knew if I freaked out, she wouldn't try it. The pain that the green stuff inflicted on my body were torturous and almost impossible to describe. It was so strong, it made my throat burn and brain turn to mush...I believe I killed 5,000,000 brain cells with that stuff...but I am not quite sure, some of my memories are a blur...I'm not sure why. Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yes....Llamas right?
Here is a close up of the culprit.

After Kelci tried it...we both decided it was time to say peace out and cleanse our palatte with some good old ice cream. I mean, our mouths and brains were so upset with us, we had to treat them with something soothing and familiar...not RAW fish and WASABI!
Kelci was upset with the Wasabi.

Note to self: Not all green things taste like Guacemole.

Thank you Annie for the amazing cell phone cozy!
My phone is happy because it just starting to get cold around here!

Pardon me!

Yesterday I received the most precious comment from someone named "Charli" on my Twilight Blog. On this particular post, dear Charli thought I, "am a terrible picker". Is she referring to the way I pick pustuals on my face? Because she is sooooooo wrong there...let me tell ya. If she were referring to the actors I chose for my "preferred Twilight cast" then you know what, Charli is right. I mean, she probably is in high school and knows EVERYTHING...I shouldn't doubt her for one second. Charli, I have given my picking a lot of thought and decided to make a new and BETTER list...just for you. "Merry Christmas ya filthy animal...and Happy New Year."
Bella Swan - since Kristen Stewart has already been chosen, I will not give you a new suggestion because it would be worthless and a waste of time. Plus, I think she will do great.

Carlisle Cullen - I think Chad the Alltel man would fit the description perfectly. I mean, look at the man's hair...and the way he handles that cell phone. Classy.

Esme Cullen - Esme radiates love to everyone surrounding her. She is gentle and kind and very sweet...with these qualities, only the mom from Malcolm in the Middle will do. DOesn't she have Esme written all over her?

Jacob Black - look at that tough, manly guy. Jacob has never looked so hott!

Rosalie Hale - Edward says her strongest strength is pigheadedness...I think she resembles that remark. Isn't Rosalie so beautiful?

Emmett Cullen - The only person that would do Emmett justice would be Strongbad. Look how buff and super powerful he looks! Not only is Strongbad the buffest little guy I have ever seen, he is also the funniest...just like Emmett. I am sold.

Jasper Hale - Jasper is always hungry it seems. No one would play the part better than Cookie Monster...I mean, when a cookie craving comes...he loses it! I heard Cookie Monster has actually started practicing for his audition for the part. Oh, here he is, giving us a personal performance!

Alice Cullen - Alice's bubbly personality and love for life would be hard for any actor to attain perfectly...all but one. I think Samara from "The Ring" would be superb. Look at her...tell me that doesn't scream Alice.

and last but NOT least...

Edward Cullen - described to be impossibly handsome that he is almost godlike. Bert immediately came to mind. Look at those eyebrows...and that puff of hair. Soooo sexy.

Charli, I hope this list was better for you.

Sincerely,
Lauren, "the terrible picker".
