UPDATED TO ADD:
A lot of you know Chell, and blog with her. She emailed me early this morning wanting me to let you all know that she is very sick, and is in a hospital in China right now. She has had an operation, and is in a lot of pain. As soon as she can, she will be flown back to New Zealand. I think she needs all of our prayers. Please keep Chell in your hearts.
♥ Lauren

1. Yesterday, I made flower clips for my hair, and they turned out great!
My awesome friend Brea, gave me a Hobby Lobby gift card for my bday, so I bought all of the fanciest silk flowers they offered...yay for silk-flower-splurges of awesomeness!
(the purple one...ted likes this one best)

2. I am IN LOVE with the top of my bookshelf. SRSLY.
See that cute porcelain bird? Ted bought that for me for Valentine's day...so cute. And see that amazing silhouette!? Shelby made it herself, and sent it to me. I love it Shelby! Thank you!!

3. I cried when I saw a bush.
Not any bush....a bush on the freeway. It was blowing in the breeze and I got choked up, and I took out my camera and snapped a picture of it. My mom said, "Did you just take a picture of that bush?" And I said, "Yes...I love Arizona...*sniffle*"
Too bad everyone will die from heat stroke in like 3 days.
OK, I lied.
IN 24 hours.

4. I love to "soft" my graduation tassel.
I freakin hate that stupid tassle. Every time I am in the car I try to remind myself to throw it away. And then I find myself unthinkingly "softing" it. And then I remember I love it.
Yep, you read the screen right...it was 68 degrees outside. It was perfect.
Until it was 86 the next day.

5. I love food.
But not necessarily Oregano's. I have no idea why I keep going back there and eating there food. I only like their pizookie. But in any event...I take attractive pictures.
Not.

6. Click on this picture to see Ted as Satan.
You will not be disappointed.
(notice the missing EDWDCLN plate. sad)

7. I thought Ted was bleeding.
But it was marinara sauce.
Talk about RANDOM.
I am pretty sure he licked it off.
Or maybe I did.
I meaaaaaan...

8. On the way home I thought I spotted Disneyland sprouting through a ghetto Jack-in-the-Crack.
So I zoomed up close to get a better look.
Didn't want to miss out on any Mickey Mouse sitings...

Turns out it was a random little ghetto carnival in the middle of a Food City parking lot.
Hmm...I think I would have a better chance of getting stolen there then by purchasing an ice-lolly from the creepsters riding the sick-nast ice-cream trucks.
I think I will pass. kthanxbye.

9. Don't deny the awesomeness.
Kickin' it cool-style.
Yes, I just said "cool-style".
No, no one says that....but I do.
So shut it.

10. I stepped in a pile of steaming crap in my favorite church shoes.
They have been laying by our door for over a month now.

11. Did I ever show you this?
I don't think I did.
If so, I am sorry.
If not, look at it's cuteness.
Mr. Hootie Pimpster approves.

12. Look at this freakin idiot...
He lives on the stupid/awesome Toon-Town roller coaster in Disneyland.
He likes to shoot people in the face with water.
But then he ran out of water-squirting-juice.
So now he sits around like a freakin' idiot.
THE END

13. I am thinking this may be my new profile picture.
I fear that having Pocket Edward as my profile picture, may confuse people. I don't want anyone getting all excited that Edward commented on their blog...only to find out it was only I.
I don't like to be the bearer of bad news...
Only glad tidings...

15. I am a good daughter.
My dad has been aching for a cherry pie. So I secretly whipped him up a homemade pie on Sunday afternoon, and brought it over that evening. He was a happy camper.
And I look like a nap face.

I heart your hair flowers. They are so cute!!! And good on you for making your dad that pie. I have no culinary skills whatsoever. But I can microwave like nobody's business...
Adorable new blog banner by the way!
The sunset picture is amazing. And, I think Texas and Arizona are the same where it goes from being nice a bearable one day to 115 the next... gotta love the summer time.
I love Arizona. Would live there in a heartbeat!!
Please come decorate my house.
I think I would look weird with a flower in my hair. But I've never tried it...
The flower hair clips are beautiful!!!! And so is that pie....
wow! i love all of your new hair clips :) you're so talented, dearest. the purple one is BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL, so i have to agree with Ted. i also love the red one and the yellow one, but i'd take them all if i could :)
I love your blog! I think I say that every time I comment. Your petrified caca just brought me a much needed laugh on a really bad day. Thanks for the giggles, Lauren.
I just don't know if I can read your blog anymore...Oregeno's is the bomb! You just must not be ordering the right thing!!! Have you ever tried the Alfredo in the dark with the chicken? AHHHHH I am hungry right now!

Yes, there is a twilight one!
happy post!!! That pie looks amazing and so do you in all of your pictures. The hair clips turned out totally perfecto!
and here i was thinking that you were ungrateful for the blessing of living in arizona... now i know that you truly recognize the greatness that is AZ.
live it up for me.
and yes, you are the best daughter ever. i can definately say i have never done anything so thoughtful for a parent. let alone made a pie that looked so flippinly (its a word, k) awesome.
DUDE! I say "cool-style." AND "party-style."
As in, "Your post was cool-style, Lauren...especially the ghetto Jack in the Crack reference!"
or
"We're gettin' our fun on, party-style."
I also say things such as, "bring the noise!" and "too far" on a regular basis.
As in, "Y'all coming over tonight? Well, bring the noise!"
or
"Nikki totally went too far in that Access Hollywood interview, when she rudely cut off Rachelle. Tooooooo far."
And thus ends the longest, lamest, most random comment I've ever left. Please love me.
*Love the new blog banner.
*Love all of the cutness stuff on the shelves..
*Love the hair clips.. Red and purple ( the most. )
*Love the pie dish.. Very YOU!
* I have some caca shoes buy my door too.
I love the Edward profile picture, but I like to see you better-- I vote yes!
I WOULD LOVE to live in AZ. My roots are from there.. and I like it HOT! But-- the hubby refuses to live anywhere that hot. I am so jealous sitting here in 24 degrees that you have 8o degree weather.
Jealous. So Jealous.
OH my goodness I LOVE your flower clips! Can you pretty please teach me how to do that? I have been looking for some cute flowers to put in my hair, but EVERY flower clip I find it is SO MUCH $$$!!! Grrr... but if I could make them like you do then that might be worth it! :) Oh and can you come visit me sometime? I would really appreciate it! :)
Oh and I think that I might copy you on your corner shelves! :) LOVE THEM!!

your a bomb dot com daughter, and i wish i lived in arizona sometimes.. one day i will with my husband or something...
oh and your poopstain shoes are sicknast face, you should power wash the bottoms.
ah! Your flower hair clips turned out so cute. And probably a lot cheaper than buying them. I've had that thought run through my head a gazillion times but I never have the time to sit & make any. We should sit & craft one random night. Umm I love your pie dish & all your other cute little things in your house. Oreganos yumm. I just went there. Gotta love AZ. I hope we all don't die of heat stroke soon!
I love t hat picture of you! So sassy!
And I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
Ted as Satan? Hahahaha!
Your pie looks so good!
I'm always stepping in dog poo! :( You're just going to have to break down and scrub it out! ;)
Mauri has an excellent idea! Hey ARIZONA GIRLS! Want to get together and craft?!

and does Ted have man-stubble on his face?
and i also want to craft! *pouts*
These are hilarious. I don't know what I like the best. But I think if you had a gun to my head and made me choose (which i feel like you're doing)that I would choose the pic where Ted is Satan.. b/c you aren't kidding. He is.
i can't decide which new flower i like better. i just know that i love that we both thought of doing hair crafts at the same time and have the same $3.00 black flower from forever 21. TWINS

I so wish I could pull off those flowers in my hair! Fo sho cool style! Totally missin' those sunsets right now...
PS} You are toooooo fabulous!
I ♥ your flowers.....and where did you get that pie dish??? I ♥ it too!
I agree that pie dish is awesome!
Beautiful looking pie! Love the new picture for your profile. The flowers are great! Excuse me???? are you complaining about it being warm??? Check out my lovely spring weather...NOT!
You're cute as usual!
You are quite the little home maker, and crafty queen! Everything you touch turns to cuteness :)
The pie dish came from Bed Bath and Beyond. Isn't schnazzy?
Ooooh! Your hair clips are super cute! I have been searchin' for some!
Uh those flowers are the cutest! I have srsly those exact ones in dif colors for my little girly girl. I make her flower headbands and she's always the hit of the party....hmmm, really can't say the same for me. But as long as I bring her along wherever I go (oh yes, and my other 2 tag-alongs) people love "me". She's my little chubby version of a pocket Edward.
And I miss AZ for the same reasons you posted. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. (sigh....not gas)
Thanks for the laughs.
Love the flowers.
Love the picture
LOVE THE SUNSET!
ADORE THE PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE your flower hair clips. Very cute. I also love the new blog look :)
you are so cute! i would love food as much as you do only if i could be as skinny as you. {not happening anytime soon} and you were right, i was not disappointed in the satan picture. i laughed out loud. i always do that here, you make me look like a fool, but i appreciate it. haha
You just may be the woman my husband has been looking for. He MUST have cherry pie for all the "cake baking" occasions. The first time I made him one, his dear daughter informed me it was not as good as her grandma makes. Kind of shut me down on the feeling good about myself moment I was having. BTW, LOVE that pie dish!!!
i love your flower clips! i make mine too! :)
Cute Cute Cute! Everything is just so stinken cute, even the Marinara on Teds arm...Cute that you may or may not have licked it off...true love!!
p.s. crafting parties are the BEST! Shauna H. and I have 'em here and we've done everything from tutus and flower headbands, to totally pottery-barn-esq wall art. Way fun way to pick up new brain expanding ideas and bond with other Edward fans.
I want to make flower clips! I only have one...I need more! And I love your red/black shoes! where did you get them??
Love the flowers...way too cute, I need to take some time and make some, they add so much to an outfit.
Where did you get those 3 shelves?! I need those shelves!
so.. Im sitting here reading your blog with my best friend Kelts. we started around 8:30 and now its 10:48!!! girl, you are amazing!!!
absolutely gorgeous and so dang funny.
im extremely jealous.
I love the flowers you did! Very lovely! :) You're such a good daughter to make your dad a pie . . . and I totally laughed at the Ted-as-Satan picture!
And most importantly, though I've not had the chance to meet her, Chell will be in my prayers . . .
I want a piece of that pie. It looks yummy. I would like to learn how to make a pie.
I love the hair clips you made. Darling.
That stinks about your church shoes.
Ah I'm not going to far! I'll be back in town often so you'll have to shoot me an e-mail when you guys want pics! I don't know chell but I'll be sure to pray for her! That would be frightening. Poor girl!
Love the flower clips! Have you thought about selling them on your blog? I bet you could totally make a profit. btw I love your blog layout and your picture! You're extremely creative!
AH! yOu are making me miss AZ, but don't worry, it's a good thing. So I actually really like the purple flower. I think it looks nice with your hair color. Then the red is my second fav. But they are all really cute.
Yes!! Lets all get together and make hair accessories. YEAH!!
Cute hair clips!!
I have been meaning to ask you, what areas do you go check out yard sales in? I dont want to invade on your turf or anything, but most yard sales Ive seen signs for in my area actually say yarda sale. ha ha.
So I was wondering if you went out to scottsdale or something. (Do rich people even have yard sales?)
Yay Arizona!
Holy WoW I love your pie dish!! And I really like when you do the what Lauren is happy about posts, they make me happy! I think I will copy you, because I am lacking on things to blog about.
What hair clip does Edward prefer? I think they are all cute. Thanks for sharing your craftiness. I hope your friend is doing better and she is on her way home soon. I like the silhouette of the bird. There is another blog that has all kinds of those things http://papercutting.blogspot.com/
It's cool check it out.
So sorry to hear about Chell. I will keep her in my prayers. Love the clips and the home, as usual!
Your hair clips are beautimus! If only I had your cute hair... Unfortunately my hair doesn't deserve to have cute things in it, it needs to be punished. Sorry to hear about the poop on your shoes, that's the pits!
I dig your flowers. The brown one, the ranuncula is by far my fav. Im for sure going to have to make a trip to hobby lobby! thanks for sharing
1. I love the flower hair clips. I think i'm going to make some now. Inspired.
2. Your posts manage to make me smile, laugh, find something new I want to do, and even occasionally whip out some other intense emotions. Love them.
omg, you are so flipin gorgeous! and its even better you are morman!!! but yea... i think we should be blog buddies..
poor chell!
i love, love, love those pretty white shelves. so decorative and pretty. and nice job on your hair flowers. just lovely.
Lauren, you rule! And your blog is looking BEAUTIFUL! As always, such a fun post to read. Arizona looks gorgeous, and your new potential profile pic is adorable. Love those glasses! Thank you for being so much to visit and read!
In response to #4: Wanna know what happened to my graduation tassle? Someone broke into my car and stole it! Yep, took nothin else but my tassle. Now no one believes that I graduated high school! :(
Lauren,
I just love your blog! :)
and you have inspired me.... I love those flower clips!!!! since you seem to be way more crafty then me, how did you make them? I mean how did you attach them to the clip? and what clip did you use?
Beth
I'm in CA and I know it's different from AZ, but I can't believe that they wouldn't let you keep the plate. If they wouldn't let you keep it b/c it belonged to your dad, couldn't your dad have "given" it to you or transferred it to you?
