Lauren's Mail Bag...

Dear Weekend,

You are going to be amazing. Here is what you have in store for me and The Tedward:

Tonight
1.make chicken honey-lime enchiladas for the "face family"...and one vegetarian one for myself in the casserole :)
2. hopefully go and see terminator:salvation. ummm...hi christian bale, how you doin'?
3. most def snuggles before sleep with the tedward. hopefully we can crack jokes like we did last night. you know how it is...

Tomorrow
1.help ty and cc move into their new place in the lovely 20th ward {jealous!}
2. assemble some freakin' sweet 1920's-inspired headbands with fetching materials i picked up from the fabric mecca {aka...joann's}
3. meet lindsay loo and baby navy and HOPEFULLY my twin jen for lunch at costa-the-best-food-in-the-world-vida.
4. get cute-ified and make sure ted has showered and head off to...
5. the no doubt/PARAMORE concert! and hope we don't get rained on...because that would be lamespice.
6. top the night off with some Holy Golden Spoon

Sunday
1. feed myself with frosted mini spooners before heading off to church to be...
2. spiritually fed. and then feed my young women with knowledge when i teach the lesson :) oh crap! I still need to prepare!
3. take a glorious nap
4. watch Twilight and make fun of it, with my friend "Moon" who is visiting! {she is so cool, she has a fake name. And I am so cool because I know what her real name is.}
5. hopefully snuggles with ted.

Monday
1. not go to work!
2. need ideas on what to do...hopefully something fab!

-----------------------------
Dear High School Graduation Time,
You make me nostalgic. You remind me of the time when I went to Ted's graduation because I loved him and stuff. And the time I apparently sweat a waterfall in my armpits. Sicknast.

And of the time I graduated and zach face was like a little man child. I can't tell if he is pissed or smiling...
Anyway...I feel old.
------------------------------------
Dear Mama Face and CC {sierra},
Thanks for being my favorite women in the entire world. Not many girls are lucky enough to have their two bestest friends in their family. Love you!

By the way...next time we go to lunch, let me in on the "look cute" memo..because I obviously missed it.
--------------------------------
Dear boob tumor,
I had surgery nearly a year ago to get rid of you. Please never come back...Because I never want to witness Ted passed out in a wheel chair because of my IV, again. When I think about it...maybe it was a good thing he was passed out...
I may or may not have been checkin' out my anesthesiologist...
kidding!...sorta.
hey, i wasn't married yet.
and i was feeling tipsy from the IV.
aint no thang...

1) I'm so jealous you're going to see No Doubt *tear*

2) I really long to dine at Costa Vida now simply from hearing about it from you, when I'm in Vegas for a friends wedding next year, I will drive to Arizona if I have to for this to happen!

3) I had major surgery two years ago and my man was a little freaked by the iv too. it makes them cute and thats why we love them!

Crystal...I am thinking that their is a Costa Vida in Las Vegas. You should check out their website! But...if you drove to Mesa, then we could be friends in real life!

I'm going to email you some really funny Pocket Edward pictures I took a couple of weeks ago that everyone on my facebook has been raving about! I think you will love them!

How is Tedward going to handle seeing you birth a baby if he couldn't handle an I.V.?
It sounds like you have a lovely weekend ahead! Here's hoping for no rain for your concert and that you will have a wonderful and happy weekend!

I like your socks in the hospital! Sad day!

I just looked up a graduation picture of the two of us. Holy smokes... We still kind of look the same. Weird.

WOW you are going to have SO much fun!! What great plans!
Found out that we're not moving back to Mesa as soon as we hoped/planned... BUT when I visit the end of next month SWEAR we can do lunch at Costa Vida! I've been craving it for FOREVER! Suuuure we got a Cafe Rio last month, but it's just NOT the same!
Have a blast at the concert & chillin with Moon, lucky.

Lauren I am sooooo incredibly jealous that you are going to see Paramore and No Doubt. More so of seeing Paramore. I hope they come here to Oz one day . . .

Sounds like you have a fab weekend planned :) I'm holding a dinner party tonight which I am tres excited about! I am busy baking right now lol And I've made it dress-up so we're all gonna look fab in our best clothes.

The anesthesiologist was a BABE! :)

You and CC are my bestest girlfriends in the world, too! :)

I'll be at the No Doubt concert! Hollaaaa

Dear Lauren's year old boob tumor and my 7 month old ovary tumor,

You both can stay in tumor purgatory (or Hell, even) permanently. Lauren Face and myself are way too cool to have to wear hospital gowns and go through all that indignity again. Although, my anesthesiologist was pretty hotness too (thank goodness for spell check otherwise I would never spell anesthesiologist correctly). Are all anesthesiologists like that?

Note to self: Med students= good. Especially if they will be anesthesiologists.

Lula! said...

Those socks are like an updated version of BEETLEJUICE!!! I love it. You are so Winona Ryder, circa late 1980"s.

In the hospital. With a boob tumor. (Ouch-you KNOW how I feel about boobs. Even yours.) And a hot anesthesiologist.

p.s. I expect newsy texts...from the concert...Golden Spoon...after a delicious nap...and especially when you and Moonie Pie are getting your Twilight love on. That will be epicness.

I'm so jealous.

I feel bad for Ted, no snuggles on Saturday night. lol! Yay for the fun concert!

Anyhow, forgive me for my barely-english gibberish text messages to you. I didn't give you a very good first impression, being the first texts from me. lol!! I was driving and can't do both at once :p
ps. You INVENTED the cute memo. You show us all up, lauren. SRSLY :)

I went and watched a bunch of my friends graduate today from high school and have spent the rest of the day being nostalgic. Oh, your graduation gown is 20 times prettier than mine was. My high school colors were black, silver and white so we all wore black.

Hope your weekend works out as well as it sounds like it will!

Clint & Alicia McLaws said...

Sounds like your weekend will be eventful and exciting! Not gonna lie, I'm very jealous that you get to go to the No Doubt concert. Boo for being poor! Lame...

Graduation time always makes me nostalgic, too. I went to Mountain View last night to watch my little brother-in-law graduate. I realized it was SIX YEARS to the day, since I graduated! NOW who feels old? that would be me. yeah, ancient just might be the word.

I hope you have a fantastic weekend! I'll be working. All.Weekend.Long. Pretty lame, eh? I thought so too.

Oh...and do post pictures of headbands! so cute! :)

alyssabender1 said...

Paramore!!! Have fun! I love them, but I've never seen them in concert. Should be awesome, especially with No Doubt.
My cousin just graduated High School yesterday and made me feel old too :(

I am jealous, love no doubt! I am old, my 10 year reunion is this year.

YAY i am only 32nd (?) to comment this time! :)

tell Paramore to come to Africa. i need me some Zac-Farro-ness.

hey, why don't YOU come to Africa? i think you need to come and not tell me, and then just randomly wander around a shopping mall until i discover you there. i dreamt about that experience, believe it or not. you and Chell just appeared in the local grocery store. *but don't come to the grocery store... that is embarrassing.* no, actually, i'm thinking you should just tell me when you come to Africa. i'll be cross if you don't.

and ummm, there is no Costa Vida in Africa for definite, too. so i'll just have to come to Arizona.. :P

Awesome post. You're going to the No Doubt/Paramore concert?! I am sooooo jealous!!! What a fun weekend.

Katie said...

I'm late! So late! (Because I was at a rehearsal dinner and wedding and such out of town and...oh, nobody cares) Anyway, I know I'm late but I still wanted to comment for a few reasons.

1.) No Doubt/Paramore. Jealous! My friend and I were supposed to see that here in Denver but it turns out we were lame and waited to late to buy tickets and it was sold out. Fail. I hope you had fun!

2.) I think we graduated the same year, and girl, I totally know what you mean. I'm home from college for the summer and it makes me feel so old watching all the '09ers drive around in their tagged cars. I went to graduation this year to support a friend and it just felt so strange! BTW--you look so young in those pictures!

3.) Why are you hatin' on those fab socks? I maybesortakinda have a lot of dorky socks. Also, I wish you had pictures of the anesthesiologist. And I'm glad you are tumor free! I have to have surgery next week and I am super scared. Ick.

Happy long weekend, Lauren!

~Katie

Fun post! Weekends are always fun! I personally LOVE the graduation picture of you and Ted. It's one of those things: I absolutely LOVE couples who were in love in High School. I think it's the cutest thing EVA! Anyhow, I'm with you on the costa-the-best-food-in-the-world-vida. I've only been there once when I was helping my leader (Love you Marilyn!) move and I was eating it with her and her husband and her brothers in an empty house with the fan on high because we were all so sweaty and gross. None the less, it's amazing!

22!!!!!! Ha. 22 is a haunting number, everybody. It's scary. So yeah! If you don't have much to do Monday then I would suggest rain-dancing in people's yards. Works every time. I did it a few days ago and it rained yesterday.....

So today is the day I decide to quit lurking (although I commented on your Twilight site, so I'm not really a lurker right?). Anyways, you are so freaking adorable. I want to put you in my pocket.

Terminator Salvation was awesome, was it not? Christain Bale= hotness. That half robot dude was hot too. Ok enough talking for today. Just wanted to say keep up the good work craking me up! (Cause isn't that your sole purpose in life... to crack me up?
