I have been thinking this past week about what to post for my 500th blog post. At first I thought I should do something over-the-top, but when I really thought about it, I decided against it. You see, for the past couple months I have been thinking a lot about my life. And, since my blog is about my life, I thought this was the perfect time to share with you what I have been thinking...
I have never had a lot of money.
I have never be given hand outs by my parents just because I wanted money for the mall.
I have never had a beautiful singing voice.
I have never been the best dancer on the stage.
I have never painted a picture.
I have never been able to speak in front of crowd without looking down.

I have felt alone.
I have cried myself to sleep, many times.
I have been deeply hurt by the words of others.
I have faked being sick so I didn't have to see my "friends" at school.
I have been whispered about.
I have a problem with caring too much about what people say.
I have cried over my weight.
I have failed.
I have been scared to speak.
I have been afraid to try.
But after all of that, I have grown.
I love that I can design.
I love that I can take "junk" and have the vision and ability to make it beautiful.
I love the true friends that I have.
I love that I can cook pretty much anything I set my mind to.
I love my determination.
I love that despite my lack of funds, I am content with what I have.
I love that I can capture an audience.
I love that I can be a friend.
I love that I can capture love with a camera.
I love the kind of wife I am.
I love who I am.

This joined us as a group of goof balls from ages 28-68(no joke the 68yr old watched Twilight!!) After that I clicked on to Busy Bee Lauren and I have been here ever since. I enjoy your ideas on decorating(since I am not very good at it myself) and your ideas on matching clothes. In addition to all of the ways you've grown personally, you've also inspired others to reclaim lost little bits of themselves (shopping at thrift stores, cooking, writing funny thoughts, taking pictures, smiling at husbands simply because they're wonderful, etc.). I started reading because you were in the middle (more like downhill slope) of waiting for Ted while he was on his mission and I enjoyed your perspective of what my son's friend was going through. You know me, but I was thinking about how I did find your blog. At first it seemed basic and not worth sharing but then I started thinking about the real story behind finding your blog and all of a sudden I realized how much God guided me to find you and your friendship when I needed it. I found your BBL blog through your Twilight blog which I found on the Lexicon. But the real story is that I got into Twilight because I was very lonely and often depressed last semester at school. I was coming back off of a life-high from a trip abroad and I felt very alone at school. I started devoting myself to my Twilight fanship so that I had something to do and a community to spend time in when I felt I had very little elsewhere. So really, the steps that led me to your blog seem guided and I feel blessed. Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts and funny anecdotes with us each week. I am so glad to know you.

I have a very different outlook on life from yours, and I read a couple of blogs written by people who all have different opinions on how to live - I find this enriching, to say the least. It keeps my perspective on life fresh, and teaches me to look at all kinds of things in a variety of ways - things ranging from religion, to decoration, to fashion, to political views, to dealing with relationships, with friends, etc etc etc.
Everyone is unique, yet there are so many things that bind us together, as well as separate us.
I'm rambling now, but I think that if everyone had a little peek into the lives of people they think are so far removed and so different from them, we'd all have a lot more respect for one another.

WOW 500 post.. Anyway I found this blog thu Lauren's Bite and I found that one some how when I first started the blog world this winter. I love to see what you'll post, it's a highlight of my day to come home and check for new post.
I gotta say, this was way better than any giveaway or Pocket Edward adventure. You were being real to us and thanks for giving us all the opportunity to do so. Ugh, I feel so late on this comment! I'm Melissa. (: I've been reading your blog for like, a year. I found you on the Twilight Lexicon (: When they shared the story of Pocket Edward cooking.. I had to read it and ended up LOVING IT! My friend had found out about Busy Bee Lauren, and I started really reading it over the summer. I've been reading every post! I check each of your blogs everyday. I love how you can be so funny and witty, then go and get really deep. It's amazing. I love seeing that time of thing. Plus, you're really honest which is awesomee. The best, I think, is when mean people are mean to you and you make a nice, long sarcastic post (: Those are theeee best! I am Brittany Cooley and i COMPLETELY identify with you to a "T". You make the best of situations, great situations aren't always handed to you. The best date nights are the ones at home with your husband just playing monopoly or something, you don't need money. It is the best feeling to hear your husband being proud of you. It puts away all the doubts you have about yourself. Knowing that he loves you and doesn't see the "mistakes/flaws" in you. Knowing that God loves you even more than that... Life is good.

I just found you a couple of months ago through Lauren's Bite, which was recommended by a friend and MAN am I glad we internet "met."
You inspire me to blog, and be myself, and be funny and dorky and sweet and ummm lots of other good things. Yes? Perhpas most importantly, you make me less afraid of marriage at a younger age. Does this mean I want to marry you? Or Ted? At the same time? PROBABLY. I MEAN LET'S GET SERIOUS.

Isn't it funny how we come happy and care-free....then the Lord expects us to grow. DRAT. So we inevitably get hurt...jaded...scared...lonely...(insert)...but then if we push and push and (with His help) we grow even more than we thought we could! And know a happiness we never imagined!

So I just read your moms comment and your were born February of 1988 too??I was born on the 1st and I was supposed to be a BOY too! my mom had everything bought for a boy.. BLUE blankets, sheets outfits, shoes everything! After I was born she made my grandma run to the store and get me a pink outfit because she didnt want me to go home in a blue outfit! haha we have more in common then we even knew!
