i love sandra bullock in it. i love that sierra thinks bill pullman is cute. i love everything about this cute cute movie!
sleepless in seattle
this movie always makes me so happy. it is the PERFECT romantic comedy. and i LOVE the music in it. used some of it for my wedding video (true story)
better off dead
i have professed my love for this movie numerous times on this blog, and i will do it again. this is the BEST comedy you could ever watch. i die every time.

the bigger the dots, the better! i love the mod look...

but i don't discriminate against colored damasks, either. it's in every room in our home.

love it. i dream of having a vintage sofa covered in houndstooth when i open my interior design office. sigh...
6. favy mascara...
i swear by the awesomeness that is this mascara...
almay "raisin quartz" mascara
this mascara was specifically designed for women with green eyes. i have been wearing this same shade for over 5 years now, and i promise you, it makes green eyes stand out. PLUS it's hypoallergenic. do yourself a favor, green-eyed girls, and buy some!

homemade bread
i love smelling homemade bread baking in the oven...it's so homey..in a non-gangsta way...woot woot!
fresh roses
nothing makes me swoon, more. well...besides The Tedward...but, whatev. if any of you know of a good rose-scented perfume, let me know!

i heart blair's style..but who doesn't? i am in awe...
rachel bilson
she is just too cool for school. i love her vintage looks. i love that she wears minimal makeup and is such a natural beauty. and i love her in The OC. the end.

i have loved her since "when a stranger calls". she is definitely one of the most classy and beautiful girls in young hollywood.

Oooh black and white damask how I love thee...I just wallpapered my bathroom in it and I just sit in there all day loving it. No seriously I was just reading Harry Potter numero seven on my bathroom counter.
I sew stuff with damasks all the time. I'm constantly buying damask fabric in bulk. Hubs thinks I may have a medical condition.

Okay, just gotta say, LOVE those movies! Some of my all-time faves and I, too, love the Sleepless soundtrack. OPI nail polish is the best. I currently have their black polish on my piggies. Oh, and if you want a good rosie-smelling perfume, there's Vera Wang scent that smells just like roses. I think it's called Pink. I'm savin' up my pennies for it.
Hmmmm...I'm gonna have to try out that green eye mascara - sounds kind of cool. Love your blog.
I must admit... I've never seen any of those movies, nor heard of them {except for While you Were Sleeping} but I'm right there with ya on favorite smells! I LOVE orange blossoms, any baked goods, frehs roses {they line our back yard and get REALLY fragrent near the end of the school year}, babies {I get it from my mom}, cookies, and any other yummy smelling thing. One thing that I don't get though, it how did the whole puppy-breath-smells-good thing get started? Puppy breath smells worse than adult dog breath!!! ANyhow, to get myself off of this rampage I'l compliment oyur jars nad be on my way... the jars are adorable! Au Revoir!

While I agree Better Off Dead is a great movie, my fav is one called Made In Heaven, I recommend it to everyone.
Oh and the scents lilac and cinnamon apple, not together of course.

It is called delicate petals and it is a dreamy rose smell. I used to always wear their amber romance scent but have found that it is a tad to heavy for spring/summer so I got this instead and I LOVE it!!!!
For a good rose perfume, try The Body Shop. Don't have one in town? You can order online. I love their Cassis Rose! They have a new rose perfume too. I think it's called Moroccan Rose, and it's pretty delish too.
I have some cute vintage brass owls. And I love houndstooth as well.
i LOOOOOOVE While You Were Sleeping too!!! I think Bill Pullman is so hot in that movie... so dreamy in his Lee jeans. :) It's so 90s but I love it anyway. I watch it every Christmas. Also love Sleepless in Seattle! I can't say I've seen Better Off Dead, I will have to now!
Do you think the Almay mascara for brown eyes would be a good one too? I don't have green eyes... humph. Every time I buy mascara I buy a different kind because I've NEVER found one that I really like.
I like all of these things! Except for rose scents. I dislike those.

You can get awesome apothecary jars at Joann's right now. They are bout 60 bucks each, but if you use a 40% off coupon, they aren't too bad. They sell them at Hobby Lobby too, but I don't really like the look of theirs. They are lamespice.

What I like about this post (and your blog in general) is that you can see how mixing mod, vintage, etc. makes for a really unique style. All your favs work great alone, or together and that my friend, is good taste!

I have a thing for black n white just about anything. But also brown and turquoise. I'm stuck in the middle...I can't decdide how to decorate my master bedroom so it just sits there lame as can be.
I have a thing for owls. I think it's because they're cute and round and fluffy. Basically any animal/bird like that I find cute.
PS: I was intending on sending you an email about this, I still might. If you and Tedward ever decide to take a trip to the East I suggest you stop in Pennsylvania and stay in Jim Thorpe. It's very cute with lots of bed and breakfasts and you can find all the things for your designer style taste in the shops in the town. I mean it, shops and shops are just PACKED with antiques and collectibles. It's freaken awesome.
oK i pretty much love everythin that you put.....minus the Almay Mascara. I am allergic. I know right? It's SUPPOSED to be hypo-allergenic. I pretty much get it within an inch of my eye and my eye starts getting red and leaking.....as in leaking tears.
Oh yeah and While you were sleeping....I have it memorized. Stacey....that is my all time favorite part in the movie.

Mom and I both wear Tea Rose, it smells like rose oil. Miracle So Magic by Lancome has a lot of rose in it and is lovely. YSL's Paris is very rosey as well but doesn't mix right with my chemistry. I am a recovering perfume addict.
I bought three large-ish apothacary jars awhile back for my naked mantle. The wall it is on is maroon, the other colors in the room are grey, brown, black, and cream. I have one jar filled with small pinecones. The other two are still empty. There is nothing affordable to fill them with from Michaels. Any suggestions?
Emily, to stick with the earthy feel, I would fill one with river stones and maybe have some faux wheatgrass bunched together. So the river rocks would be holding the wheatgrass in place. Or you could buy some inexpensive "reindeer moss" and put in it about a 1/3 of the way up. Then make a little bird nest with a faux birdy in it. Love!
umm can I just please say that I love Demi Lovato too and she was in Denver last week but I didn't have the balls to go meet her at the coffee shop or go to her concert because I didn't wanna go alone.
And I love black and white damask. My rooms (both in chi and in denver are those.
I even redid a vintage lamp and now the shade is super cool damask and houndstooth alternating with feathers around the bottom of it and I painted the lamp white.

So perhaps While You Were Sleeping is my favorite movie of all time! I would seriously watch it every weekend in high school and my VHS tape was getting worn thin in some parts and did weirdy lines in some parts of the movie. Oh how we are twins. I have, however, recently decided that You've Got Mail creeped up past it on my favorite list. You need to fall in love with it instantly. Also, in high school my friend Angie (known as Angieinpink) got me the Better Off Dead soundtrack, which rocked beyond all reason!
And I just got a crazy steal of a deal on two giant apothacary jars...I only paid $42-ish for both! I love them a lot.
Sleepless in Seatle is my fav. movie of all time (other than edward scissorhands) When I first had Mack that movie was on ALL day.. he loved the noise AND it has an amazing sound track!
-Better off dead is an amazing moveie but i'm not going to lie, I could do without the wierd hamburger coming alive part.. I do appreciate the weird jello stuff that rolls off his plate. hillarious.

Wanted to let you know of great body products that smell of orange blossoms. Bath and Body Works' Aromatherapy line in Optimism. It seriously smells like an orange grove in spring! You know, for when you don't want to smell of roses. :)
