it is died...but i'm not. coolspice.

Once again, big thank you to all that participated in my debate! I loved reading every one's answers! As for my opinion...

Mine and Ted's situation is a little bit different than the average "spouse + friends merge". You see, we dated throughout high school, so naturally we had the same friends. when we got married there was no awkward, "well, Ted, this is my friend...can we hang out with him, and can you try to have things in common?". Ted and I have always been a team. We always have hung together. So, if I text our guy friend to plan something, it's ok...because Ted usually ASKS me to text him. Or if we see a guy friend at the store, I can totally hug him, because Ted hugs them too. Pretty much what I am saying is, Ted and I are chill. Would I ever hang out with a guy friend, alone? No way. It's important to keep a friendly distant. Time alone with a male should be reserved for The Tedward. Also, I would never confide in a guy friend. Once you establish that sort of relationship, you are flirting with dangerous situation. Of course, all marriages are different, this is just how I feel :)  Something I heard once was,  if your spouse lets you know they feel uncomfortable with the relationship you have with a friend, and you ignore their feelings and continue the relationship, it shows the spouse that you value the friendship more than the marriage. Just food for thought :)

I bet a lot of you have been wondering why the comments from Busy Bee Lauren have been lacking...

Well it's because my compy died. After 3 years of life...it kicked the bucket. Along with all of the pictures that I have taken since I have been married. Bummer to the spice, yo!

So we bought this:
and I am in love with it.
but it isn't set up yet.
so comments from me will be coming shortly :)

In the mean time,
Is there anything you would like to know about me?
I am asking all of you to pick a topic for me to post about.
I will make a list and I will eventually try to post about each one of the topics you suggest!
It will be super fun...
So, what do you want me to post about?
Ready...Set....Go!

I'd like more posts with pictures about your awesome style and inspiration with home decor and such! or fun stories about yours and the Tedward's adventures. and some pocket edward.

My internets died so I was unable to give my input on the latest busy bee debate. I agree with you Lauren. I don't think under any circumstances a married person should hang out with a member of the opposite sex alone.
When my husband came home from his mish this girl he knew from high school asked him to have lunch with her. Well, she was married. He was like, um no way, you're married. How weird.

ANYWAY...
I would LOVE if you did a Lauren's recipe book segment where you gave the recipe's of all of your favorite meals so that we can all try them out too!
whenever you put up pictures I always want the recipe!
oh and more Pocket Edward :)

I want to hear the story of you and Tedward. I'm fairly new on here, so maybe that's old news? Orrrr random things overheard in the thrift store.

Briana said...

I would love to hear more about your life being married, funny stuff like who cleans, who does laundry, Cleaning tips, Hairstyle ideas, ect.

One topic on which I'd love to hear your feedback is the whole girls supposedly take longer to get ready than boys. I know men complain about this -- even my own! -- but the truth is my boyf takes forever and a day to get ready, whereas I only take forever. ;) I have a feeling this happens in other households, too.

Congrats on the spiffy new computer!

I'm thinking it's time to see Lauren impose her fashion on others. A post of mama face and others in Lauren hair and leggings would be fun!

Um, I think it would be impossible for me to improve on what you already post about. It's so much fun already. Just do your thang. :)

Sorry about the computer and especially the pictures but sweet new Dell!

I love reading about your home decor and how you spruced things up to look nice! I never seem to see the finished product though. Like where you end up putting the frames.. and stuff? haha But I would like to see more of that :)

Lauren said...

"Dude you got a dell!"... he he he, does anyone remember those commercials, or am I the only cool one?

What to post about... hmmm, I'm all for a Pocket Edward post!

Sorry to hear about your compy & pics :( Sad day. but I LOVE the new one! I love my pink dell laptop as I'm sure you will love your purty red one! I pretty much agree with everyone else. I like everything you post about. Hmm if I think of anything I'll be back to add...because um...I can't think of anything right now!

"Bummer to the spice, yo!" is going to be one of my new favourite phrases. When I read that, I literally laughed out loud.

And did you get exactly that computer? In red? So cute.

I don't have a specific idea for a future post, I just love your blog the way it is.

I want to see a "Lauren and Ted's first year of marital awesomeness" post come September...or did you get married in August?? Either way, I totally want to see one!

Sorry about your dead computer, but your new one is SO pretty!!

A "how to guide" on putting together a fashionably cute outfit. I have the hardest time figuring out what colors to pair and so forth. I would love to hear your expertise! Oh and a tutorial on making those cute hair clips with the flowers on them:)

Gracias!

So I think your pretty hilarious Lauren. I always have a smile on my face after I read your blog! FYI my brother served his mission in Madagascar! I haven't heard of other people going there in a long time! I bet Tedward loved it there as well as my brother! I even have some gifts from there that are awesome!

Meghan O said...

I love your new laptop!! Especially since it's pink =)
It would be awesome if you could write a post about the flowered headbands you make. I attempted to make flower hair clips on my own, and they came out nice, but if I could see how you did it, that would be awesome!!

your top 20 things you like to do when you have the day off.
like specific things you find yourself doing.

idk.. it might be fun:)

I agree with Uptown Girl. I think listening to how couple met/fell in love is cute. Unless it's just plain and simpl "He asked me out, we liked each other, we got married after his mission" kind of thing... which would still be ok! But it wouldn't make much of a post would it? Anyhow, I also love to see the pictures you take of people {wanting to be photographer myself}.

brightonislove said...

like everyone else has said so far...i would LOVE it if you posted about how to do home decor and fashion. i try to do cute things like you, but usually fail miserably... but i also would like to know your secrets on finding awesome things at thrift stores for super cheap.

Bee said...

Hellooooooo, again...
I read your blog alot but usually I don't comment because... Hummm, I still don't have a valid reason! Shame on me =/ I did comment once but the post was deleted... Well no need to talk about that lame stuff.
Why don't you do a post about things of when you were little that you miss? I miss my father picking me up at school with an umbrella on rainy days. I don't know why. Ehhh... Maybe it's stupid.
What about little things you like about Ted? I'll give you an example: I like when my boyfriend texts me in the morning "Good morning!". It's nothing special but I like it. Is it too personal? :S Well I don't know. Maybe I should stick with the home decor idea. :)

brightonislove said...

oh and i almost forgot! that sucks about your computer. BUT, my sister showed me this download called picasa. its free to download to your computer, and you can sync the pics on your computer to the web. that way they are always safe and can be accessed from any computer. SO, you can prevent future picture losses from happening.

P.S. Happy long life to your Dell. I almost lost all my pictures too but my genius cousin saved everything.
P.P.S. Actually my vote goes to Pocket Edward ahah :p

Shayla said...

SO sad about losing all your picts! Last summer I lost over 1,000 picts & cried so much hubs had to come home from work to console me. Oh jeez.
Anyyyyyway... cute idea letting everyone suggest what you post! I love randoms, like tidbits of info...
what are your favorite snacks? candy? do you drink pop? {I dooon't, I'm so boring} So yeah, you obviously have a blogging gift to have so many followers, so you're doing just fine!!
PS. Went to Cheesecake Factory last night for girl's night & thought of you HAHAHA weird? We were cracking up the whole night AND saw 17 again {for my 3rd time!!} you just should have come duh!

Did you have those pictures backed up? I have a lot of mine on picasa or photobucket just in case a situation like yours happens.

I do want to know something. Would you ever dye your hair brown? I'm not saying you should, I just want to know how you feel about dying your hair. I'm brunette and I know my skin tone doesn't go well with blonde and I'd be afraid to do it. Plus, I wouldn't have the $$ to keep it up.

I'd love to hear about your everyday life- you seem to make everything that happens to you interesting!

I also love your pictures, your thrift-store-winnings, your jokes with Ted, and your crazy but lovable family!

Anything you post about is ALWAYS fun.

Sorry about the computer. I've had that fear so I've backed up ALL my pictures. (Took a lot of time, but it was definitely worth it)

after tonight's discussion of Mexican "food," I don't know that anything will top that.

Until we see each other IN PERSON, that is.
Sigh...

it's cute. I hope you have good luck with it. my Dell is only ok. When you call them for service they charge you and they aren't helpful at all. So hopefully Ted is secretely a computer genious who can assist if something should go wrong.

I have that exact same laptop! I'm a fan of everything except vista.

I hope it's not too personal, but I would really like to know about your basic beliefs, etc in your religion. I don't know any LDS members or hardly anything about it, and I'm curious, especially after your "Modesty" blog post.
