I got to know Sara via twitter. Amongst the other people that respond to my tweets, she really stuck out because (1) she looks exactly like Alice Cullen...seriously. And (2) she is just too darn sweet. I love her :) I eventually found her amazing flickr and witnessed her jaw-dropping photos. Sara really captures stunning photos that take your breath away. I immediately knew that my blog readers had to see her work too! So here we are...
Q. When did you start taking photos?
A. I started taking photos just for fun back as a kid. There was nothing special there. In college I was the Photography Editor for our school newspaper for a bit, and I got sent to take photos and started getting interested. I left that post (too long to get into) and just started shooting for fun, and voila, here I am, strangely booking a few jobs!
Q. What was your first camera?
A. My first camera was a film one, with one of those little flash cubes that you had to replace every 4 shots. Like I said before, I wasn't shooting anything special, just futzing around. I got my first digital camera (Canon point and shoot) senior year of high school, for my senior trip to Disney World. I got my second (another Canon point and shoot, which I still use) my junior year of college. Currently, my main camera is a Canon EOS 40D that I got a little over one year ago, after graduating college. I've got two lenses, a 28-135 and a 50 1.4. I just rented a 17-40 for two weeks. I've had it for about an hour and am already in love with it.
Q. Do you prefer film, or digital?
A. I prefer digital. Mostly beacuse I don't have much experience actually shooting with a film camera. I know, I'm terrible. My dad has an amazing old Minolta 35mm in the closet though, and I plan on experimenting with that in the near future. My grandfather also has lots of old cameras, and my dad and I are going to tackle those together.
Q. Where do you get your inspiration for your photos?
A. Inspiration comes from everywhere. Books I'm reading, plays I've seen, lyrics I'm listening to. Sometimes, the best photos happen because I'm just plain bored. Instead of sitting around, I'll set something up, and just see what works, and usually end up with a photo that I love.

Thank you again, so much, for the feature! I'm truly honored :D <3
I love the flower girl one and the dancer one! Truly beautiful!
It's not first, but it's the closest I've EVER come! yay!
I really like the first one, I love the unique dress and the fairytale scene of it all. I also like the "goodbye hair" one, I just love the four frames in one and it seems to capture her personality. My favorite photographers are Sloan, Nicholas Matthew Narducci, and pretty much most of the photographers that are listed on my favorite wedding blog Green Wedding Shoes..for example The Image is Found, Jill Thomas, Amelia Lyon etc. I can list all of them they are all that amazing!!
They're all wonderful, but I find myself mesmerized by the last one. It really does have something special that intrigues me. I also really like the shot of her dancer friend.

Oh my goodness, you are all TOO KIND to me. Much love. <3
Fav: Bella, Gabby, & Box.
So beautiful! Magazine cut outs! :)
Sara, I did the same thing- chopped off my long hair to a super duper short style. When did you cut and and why? It looks Alice inspired! Like a pixie fairy :)
Sasha-
The cut is definitely inspired by Alice! The first time I saw the movie, I found it a bit boring, to be honest. Pretty lame. My thought process: "This kinda sucks. Oh well, I want to jump Jasper. Shit, I totally have to steal Alice's haircut." So I did!
I cut my hair because I just needed a change, really. It had been long for ages, and I had never gone above shoulder length before. So, I tried it. I wailed that I looked like a boy for two days... and then fell in love :D
Natalie- We can totally be bloggy friends! Come to mine and leave me a comment with your link!
I'm baaack muahahahahaha. So um SarA looks like movie twilight alice (ashley greene) anyway sorry I fell off the blogging wagon there for a while...I became obsessed with couponing and stickin to the man by cheating him out of money using his own coupons....It's fabulous when you get 6 boxes of Kleenex brand tissue for $0.17 yes you read that correctly....It can be addicting.
I love the Gabby shot!
Nice work Sara :)
Wow!!!! Those ARE really cute! :) I love Sara's haircut, very Alice-like!
OMG OMG OMG.
How do you get your hair like that, Sara??? I have the same cut, but just a bit shorter, and I can't figure it out at all! Leave a comment at my blog ( twilighting4vr.blogspot.com ) PLEEEEEEASE!!!
I love the Ballerina picture the most! Then the institution ones. I think sometimes I should admit myself, when things get crazy! Then I pray, amen...
Wow is that dancer gabby wearing any shoes? Amaazinnngg...pictures!
She is very talented.
Brandon and I have a good friend, Nathan, who is an excellent photographer. He specializes in surfing, weddings, portraits, and families, but does a bit of everything. His website is: http://nathanpetty.squarespace.com/
