The time where I offend at least someone because I despise something they love :)
Without further ado...
1. Pride and Prejudice...the "new one".
Oh my goodness. Why did everyone and their dog love this movie? I heard everyone raving and throwing about their arms saying "praaaaaaaise Kiera Knightley....praise the Pride and Prejudice!" and I was like, "Hmm...sounds like it must be aight." Naturally I put off watching it for like 2 years. After being chastised multiple times by my friend to see it, I did. And I was like, "Umm seriously?"
*eye roll*
Let's stick with the BBC version, mmmmkay?
Hi Colin Firth...you ARE Mr. Darcy.

2. Soda
I used to love me some soda. In fact, the night I had my first kiss I had been drinking Vanilla Pepsi from QuikTrip. Whenever I smell it, I remember that awkward night with Ted, haha! Anyway...I gave up soda my junior year of high school, and I haven't looked back. I hate the stuff. And it has so many worthless calories! Drink Water. Srsly.
3. Uggs...in Arizona.
Now, I don't think they are completely hideous. I believe they could be made into a cute cute outfit, HOWEVER. If I see another girl wear them in Arizona, I will throw my flip flop at them. I wear flip flops in the dead of winter. Want to know why? It's like 90 degrees in December.
Stop acting like we live in Santa's village.
4. Chick-Fil-A
I LOVE that they are closed on Sundays. I love that they have great discounts if you dress up like a cowboy (true story) and I LOVE their advertisements. So naturally, I am depressed that their food isn't very good. And when I say "not very good"...I mean I hate it.
5. Dogs without leashes
I am not really a fan on dogs. I like little tiny dogs that you can mistake for a dust bunny. Those are cute....mostly because I like any sort of bunny, haha. But other than that, I see them as things that have wet sloppy tongues, that don't smell good...and that lick their special places. Having said that, dogs don't really bother me UNLESS they are unleashed. My poor little 82 year old grandma was riding her bike, and a big dog ran and attacked her, biting through her leg. Umm hi...if you have a dog, make sure it is secured.
Dogs without leashes=lamespice.
5. 6. John freakin Mayer.
Ugh. I just don't get it.
I will take Mason Jennings, Ruru and Jimmy Eat World any day.

1. Have never seen or read Pride & Prejudice but the BBC version looks like the better of the two, at least costume wise. I like me some Colin Firth (hey, I'm old).
2. Sodas - you're so right and I'm so addicted. Maybe I could switch to energy drinks instead ... KIDDING! I know I could drop some serious poundage if I stopped drinking cokes!!
3. Uggs - they wear them here in Albuquerque. We do get a snowstorm or two in the winter but other than that, put those bad boys away and stop wearing them with shorts, girlfriends (not you of course, Lauren. You have taste!).
4. Chik-Fil-A is gross. The End. I don't see the attraction. People are still very excited about it here.
5. Dogs without leashes - especially big dogs. I agree with you!! I'm a cat person myself so I don't get the dog thing anyway.
6. John Mayer - he's UGLY!! And he writes lamespice songs. That stupid "Gravity" one stinks, stanks, stunks but sometimes the stupid tune gets stuck in my head. Grrrr.

So, I actually do like the new Pride and Prejudice but it does not even compare to the A&E version, which is the one with Colin Firth (I tried to watch the BBC version and I can't stand it).
John Mayer - hate him.

Ok so I hated P&P. Really wasn't a fan, but I still think Kiera Knightley is gorgeous. And I can not STAND John Mayer. His music makes me nauscous. And I do not think he is cute one bit. However I love Ugg's. I where them all the time in winter. And if you dont think it is cold anywhere in Arizona think again. Cause I live in Snowflake where it snows from October to April. They may not be the cutest things I have ever seen but I like them and am a fan! :)
I must admit at first I didn't like the new Pride & Prejudice. I was partial to the old one. But the new one gets better each time I watch it. And it's a good way to get a P&P fix without wasting 5 hours of my life. And would my husband EVER sit down and watch the 5 hour version with me for even 2 minutes? Heck no. But he loves the new one and watches it with me all the time. BAM! :)

1. Never watched either movie.
2. I drink at least a can of diet soda daily. Nothing wrong with it, if it's done in moderation.

But I would also like to add that I lovee dogs and cats. All animals. Infact in most cases I'd prefer a dog or cat to most people in this world. They have pure hearts and souls. And yes, regardless what people might think...I think they have souls. When I look my animals in the eyes and could see the love and worry in them, I know without a doubt that my animals will be there waiting for me when I go. :) If there's a heaven without animals. It wouldn't be my heaven. :)

I'm also one to wear flip flops in winter. it's not worth it to wear them for 9 out of 12 months and just for 3 months, suddenly stop wearing them because it's "cold". So I will be right along with you throwin my flip flops at the poser valley girls! haha...but it makes me sad you don't like chick-fil-a, it's like the only fast food place I kinda like...and john mayer- i like his music/voice but as a celebrity, he is just annoying.
I also DO NOT love John Mayer, and being somewhat of a purist, I think that the BBC P&P is the only way to go! (Have you seen the Briget Jones movies, or read the books? Sort of raunchy, but really funny! The connection there is that I think they are loosely based on the works of Jane Austen, and Colin Firth plays Marc Darcy in the movies)

My best friend is absolutely OBSESSED with John Mayer... probably loves him as much as you love your Edward. However, I don't get why he is such a big deal! It is nice to finally hear that at least one other person in the world is not a fan of him!
Colin Firth is the embodiment of Mr. Darcy, but I have found myself *kind of* enjoying the newer version. I think it's ambitious to try to cram a large novel into a two hour film. I don't dislike it, but it's not my favorite thing in the whole wide world. I love the 1995 one so much, though! My husband even watches it with me. :) I love walking into our bedroom and seeing 1995 P&P on! It makes my heart smile.
I agree with you on your other points, too, though I cannot part with my Diet coke. ;)
I never understand the snow boots in the middle of the summer. I don't think that's so much a trend here anymore. I can definitely understand the agitation of seeing people wear those in warmer climates. I sometimes get the same way about people wearing scarves with tank tops...

These posts you do are rather funny. Couldn't agree more on the Uggs issue (although I don't think they are cute at all). But must disagree on the John Mayer fact. It is a personal preference, of coarse, but this man is more of an artist than any of the others you named! I adore people with musical talent so I think his guitar skills are amazing.

Yay I can agree with the majority of this post!
1. Can I be obnoxious and declare 'as a holder of a degree in english' I adore Pride and Prejudice. I hated it when it was force fed to me but now adore it to pieces. The movie, I don't have too much of a problem with it. But I do enjoy the BBC version better! I think it sticks to the story more. :)
2. The only time I drink soda is at work because it's for free. And even then, I drink one cup (for energy if I have to work until 11) and no more because it messes with my stomach. Usually one cup can mess with my stomach too, I have to drink Sprite or Mountain Dew to avoid an IBS attack.
3. I don't own uggs, but if I did, I'd wear them in winter when we get ice storms and like -15 wind chills. But I despise seeing girls wear them in the summer time around here when it's like 90. It's stupid and it makes the wearer look like an idiot.
4. I love everything you mentioned about Chick-Fil-A and their food ISN'T that good. Although one thing is: their waffle fries. I love their waffle fries. It's the only place I can get them around here!
5. I only like dogs that don't bark or jump. I get scared otherwise. So unleashed dogs severely freak me out.
6. John Mayer's songs suck. I'm sorry. Although he wrote a blog entry about Michael Jackson and the general response to his death which I was very impressed by. I think he'd make a better news reporter then creater of song.

Uggs. I live in Idaho, and pretty much...if it weren't for these kinds of boots I think my toes would fall off in February. But..if I lived in AZ or CA...I'd be all over the flip flops.

Just a few months ago, Kris Face and I encountered an angry, growling pit bull when we were out running. We really thought we might get eaten, but we yelled at it until it finally ran away.
P.S. Dogs running free on the farm are a different story...they probably aren't eating the neighbors! ;)

Well, since I have never seen the BBC pride and prejudice I will have to say that I could watch the Kiera Knightly one every weekend for the rest of my life. Whoever Darcy is in that one is SOOO good looking. Way better than Colin Firth. Kiera Knightly is okay in it, but only okay. I agree with you on everything else though!

I love dogs!! I also totally agree that they should be on leashes. They should also NOT be allowed to poop or pee on someone else property. It just grates my nerves to clean up after someone elses dog. I have enough dogs to clean up after.

Hm...I must admit I am an ugg boot owner...BUT, I lived in Idaho so it's all good. Right? Hate dogs. Bryce has been trying to talk me in to getting this little fat English Bulldog or something, he said it never barks and dies of a heart attack at an early age. I don't believe him for a second. And, John Mayer has a sexy voice. "Ain't no thang!" Am I allowed to say that after that sentence?
Ps...I had this great idea that when I get home, we should do a craft day like once a month (or more often, whatev) and invite a bunch of girls and do a new project each time. Wouldn't that be fun?

Then I moved on to the rest. ITA on most - but your friend ~Michelle~ is right. CFA in the South is a totally different experience. Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, or Virginia CFA is 10 thousand times better than anywhere else. I won't eat there in Utah, just when I'm in the South.

2. AGREE! YES! I'm sooo glad that it's not just me who despises soda! It burns and I swear that I can feel my teeth getting cavities after I take a swig.
3. Nuetral. Never tried it. Never really seen it. I've seen them on television and they're cute but...
4. Half and Half. I love that they sell cheap fruit cups, and their chicken strips, but I think their Lemon-Aid tases like pee and their sandwiches are a bit... slippery with grease.
5. Agree! I love dogs but there is nothing that I hate more than when people don't keep them on leashes. It's a criminal offense! It's not safe! It's stupid! Don't do it!

UGGs - make women's feet look oddly familar with Big Foot. It is the least flattering item to legs and feet. Did I mention that I didn't even wear a coat this past summer because it was so bloody hot here in Mesatown.
BUT, you have one thing, oh-so-wrong.... P&P is beautiful. It sends a great message to women to lower their standards, but hold out for a man that exceeds your set standards.

Finally someone else that hates the new PP. I'm always being chastised for not liking it, I love the BBC version. I'm all for new takes on PP like the Bollywood Bride and Prejudice but I could not stand the new one and I let my friends know my opinion on it even if they think I'm wrong.

Oh Lauren, you had me until you got to John. My love for JM runs deep and long. I can totally understand you not liking him as a person, but as a musician he is hard to deny. I adore him, in a non-cheesy "omg John Mayer" kind of way. I saw him in concert for the first time 7-8 years ago before the teenager found him. I will work on a blog about reasons to love John and see if I can't win you back...

I will confess to having a pair of UGGS...but I live in PA where it gets COLD from November to March...hence I only wear them during those months. I cannot STAND seeing girls wearing them with hoochie-shorts and tank tops in the middle of summer! And yes...John freakin Mayer. I don't get it, either. :)

Hi. So i'm not offended in the slightest but I disagree on a few things:
1. I like the new Pride and Prejudice because I really like that Mr. Darcy and I really like Keira Knightly. But I also havent seen the BBC version so who knows? Maybe I would like it better.
2. I agree/disagree with the soda. I'm very weird about how I drink my soda. For instance if it's not clear (aka only sprite and mountain dew for me) I will not drink it. I also will only drink sprite from a cup not from the bottle. And when I drink Mountain dew I have to squeeze the bottle 3 times before I take a sip...yeah its weird. But who cares? Yeah but I've also given it up so anyway..
3. I'm all for Uggs...in like Alaska or the North not in the South or in the Summer anywhere. Mkthanks.
4. I LOVE DOGS..almost all animals really but they should also all be on leashes if they are outside of their own lawn.
5.Chik-Fil-A is sick.
6. I like John Mayer's Music...his non politcal songs..but he is full of himself and not at all attractive. But his music is still good to me.
