happiness looks like this...

happiness looks like...

tasty chocolate 'stache's....
and ted's insanely awesome eyebrow lift...

{and on the subject of insanely awesome, and ted...happiness is his blue eyes...}

when a precious friend gets married...
and when she gets Carl's Junior brought to her at her reception...

when i score all of the following, at Goodwill...

a ceramic hootie owl...

two functioning lamps with awesome decorative bases...
{will show you what i did with them, later}

my favorite bowl of all time...
might be my favorite find of all time...

two ginormous candlestick holders...
turned them over, and they are real silver...

{awesome}

something i found to be used as a magazine holder...

{i plan on making it white}

a cute cute cute cuckoo clock...

{I painted it a funky color...you shall see later}

shooting my very first engagement session, and it not being a disaster...

eating at Joe's Farm Grill for the first time, and loving it...
then finding out, they were featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives!

building a puzzle with my favorite people...

and loving my new headband...

when Hanky blowing out his birthday candle, despite his fever...

when our best friends return...

Lauren~ I love all your "happies." That "something" you are using as a magazine holder it originally intended to be used to hold logs of wood and put next to a fireplace (I had one growing up in my house). I LOVE re-purposing things, however, and I really like your idea of using it as a mag holder. Fun Fun Fun

Well...
You know what I thought of the minute I saw those chocolate mustaches.

Ahem. I love you.

And I love that owl. Of course. Because you know how I feel about owls.

I'm starting to think your Goodwill is in the middle of a fancy-schmancy neighborhood. Our Goodwill (and when I say "our," of course I mean the one I have to drive 30 minutes to get to) is full of the softer side of Sears, velvet Elvis artwork, Garfield drinking glasses--circa 1986 (from McDonald's, no less!), and ash trays in the shape of green lungs.

I only wish I was kidding.

I think I need thrifting lessons. No, really. I'm so bad at it! I've gone twice this summer after seeing your blog and I must just be doing it wrong...

Also, I really adore your friends' wedding dress. At least from what I can see of it.

Great pictures!

that eyebrow lift is fantastic.

loooove the owl. would love to shop at your goodwill. the one close to me is full of junk. and not junk that can be made into something cool. junk that no one would want. which is why it's at goodwill.

Yay for happy posts!

I love this post! My husband and I got a great picture of us with Chick Fil-A at our wedding. I hadn't eaten all day, so my dad had it waiting for me when we came out of the temple. I love your Goodwill finds. I'll have to send you a picture of a dress I scored last week.

Love the goodwill finds...here's a tip for you....the goodwill on Main and Stapley (by the old Mervyns) had things from Domestic Bliss...I know this because the tags were still on them. I scored some topiaries and other misc items...you need to check it out.

I am in love with that first picture--the one with the chocolate 'stache. I MUST have one of those. Is Ted taking a hint from movie Bella with the eyebrow lift? I think he does it better just sayin'.

I LOVE Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It's one of my favorite shows. That's awesome that you went to a restaurant that was featured.

Anywhos, (1)Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is amazing. and (2) I know you're putting together a fabulous puzzle in that picture, but the first thing I noticed was the Harry Potter book. Thumbs up on that choice.

So I wish I had your Goodwill skillz. All I ever seem to find is junk probably because I don't look for the hidden potential. Good eye, girl.

That eyebrow is amazing! Add in some railroad tracks, a helpless maiden, and a Canadian Mountie, and I think you'd have something there.

Because of you and your mom, I found the Rich Man's Goodwill in my town and I am so addicted, it's not even funny. Almost everything I've gotten there has been NWTs or a great designer label - and all with fantastic fit for so cheap.

It's insane there! They are so super friendly and quirky and everyone I meet in the aisles has a great story. And the staff! They'll get on the mike and call out, "Yellow tags are now 50% off?" HELLO! Yellow tags were like $2.00 or something crazy to start. I am practically stealing the stuff for 50% off.

I'd like to bear my testimony that (The Rich Man's) GOODWILL ROCKS!.

Michelle said...

that is by far - hands down - the best ever - eyebrow raise by the Tedward.

Is that a bride in the 2nd pic? She looks so young, beautiful dress, you look alike, she must be a relative.

Bday boy is so cute with his cupcake and I love the engagement photo, great job on the headband.

Hey that's my cousin!!! I saw you at their reception...but I was too scared to talk to you! haha I'm so not surprised that htey got Carls Jr. Matt LOVES that place!
