have i ever mentioned...

...that i love The Tedward?
I truly do.

you see...The Busy Bee Lauren has issues sometimes.
I often feel insignificant.
Sad that I can't sew...
Sad that everyone is more talented than I...
Sad for a bunch of random mumbo-jumbo.
Just being a typical girl...you know the drill.

But then I get a great big snuggly hug from The Tedward...
and a "you are soooooo foolish, you silly thing..."

...and a kiss on a cheek with a "you are soooo talented. and i love YOU!"

and then I feel so much better.
Plus...editing these photos tonight, didn't hurt, either :)
huzza huzza!

What's your favorite thing about your significant other?

I think we all tend to do that typical girl mumbo jumbo but having an amazing significant other who just loves you is the best thing ever! Those are some GREAT pictures too by the way, because we all know The Busy Bee Lauren is just a-maz-ing..at everything! Srsly. My favorite thing about my significant other is that he always says the cutest & sweetest things to me...things he'd never say in front of any of the guys. And he totally means it. Ugh I have a whole list of things that I actually just posted on my other blog the other day :) Hope you're feeling better!

Wow I'm so early! I love that my hubby will do anything to cheer me up. Whether its getting my car all fixed up so I can go visit my family or just listening to me for hours. Oh I could go on and on right now :) I love being married to my bestest friend!!

I love the way he sometimes seems to know things about me I never noticed myself. Oh, and I love his British accent. Lots.

yes! finally not post 347.

I love that my husband is a hero in all sense of the word. I love that he always mixes my crystal light for me because I hate doing it. Even when I'm standing right next to the fridge and he's in another room. I love when he let's me practice my high school musical choreography on him in the living room. {you know, that cool junk yard dance scene} I love that he bought me a kitten for our anniversary, even though he didn't want one {and has since fallen in love} I love when he sings the elephant love medley from moulin rouge with me, and let's me pick out what movie we'll be getting form netflix.

I just love all the small but awesome things he does out of love!

the end. :)

Hi Lauren!

I'm so happy for you that you have a hubby like Tedward! He sounds like such a great and loving guy!

And yeah. We all sometimes feels like we are not worth anything and can't do anything right. But hey! I read your blog because you have the best sense of humour ever and because I love all your creative entries! (I haven't comment before though...)

I don't have a significant other, but reading an entry like this one tells me that there ARE great guys out there just waiting to be found! :)

Thanks for asking! My cutie-pie husband is in Iraq and I miss him a ton, so it's fun for me to get to brag on him a bit every now and then...

My hubby has this amazing way of calming me down. See, I have a tendency to take on too much and I end up getting overwhelmed and stressed. I'm way too prideful to let anyone else know about my stress levels (I know, it's a problem I'm working on), but he knows and without ever pointing it out or even saying anything about the issue, he can get me straightened out so that I can see the solution and get going again. With him far away right now, I miss that!

Oh, and he's the most awesome daddy. And he's way cute. And... you get the idea!

I love that my husband makes me so so happy when im feeling down, how he knows me better than myself, how he looks after me and our son, how i know he would do anyhting for us and how we share every thing together. Also his attempts at being romantic (even though he gets it horribly wrong sometimes!) jus make me laugh and appreciate him and love him even more! But most importantly I love how he sometimes wants to spend time with me rather than go out with his friends. he really is the best husband i could ever ask for and thanks lauren for making us think about the good things of our significant others rather than moan about them like we always do! xxx

AWE!! So sweet. Ted loves you!

My favorite thing??? Well, besides the obvious blah blah blah.....I think that he's the most amazing Father I've ever met. I don't know another man that loves his children as much as my husband loves ours. I'm sure they're out there but.....I'm just sayin'
xoxoxo

Some of my favorite things about my amazing husband are: He loves me the most and he always tells me, he is freaking hot, he puts up with me when I am in a bad mood, and he plays with me when I'm in a silly mood, He never gets sick of me, he always tells me that he would rather be with me then doing anything else, he smiles real big when ever I walk into the room. He is amazing and I am a lucky girl to have him to myself.

Natalie Ann Ingram said...

Oh Lauren, you are a silly (read in Laurey voice from Oklahoma). I totally understand the feeling though. It is a girl thing....and I think unusually common with young ladies from the church. There are just so many talented ladies involved in the church whether it is relief society, young women's, or primary. Sometimes it feels like you can't ever do enough. That's satan though. But then God comes along and gives you a man to help you out.

That is one of my favorite things about Jack as well. He is always loving everything about me. My big worry is my body. Even though I think Jack wishes I were a little taller he still loves that he can rest his elbow on my head perfectly. Jack also has a desire to know everything. If he comes across something that he is unfamiliar with then he will research it. It's awesome.

Ok I think the things about Jack are going to become a blog post....check back later.

P.S. You are awesome.

Hey! Sometimes that donkey husband of yours says some pretty smart stuff! :)

One of my favorite things about the Kris Face is how patient and understanding he is with his RIDICULOUS wife! :P

Jill said...

My favorite thing,...there's so many to choose from though! I'll be quick!

* I love that he knows me well enough that he understands me without me having to say anything at all.

* I love that we have this connection so deep, that we do and say things at the exact same time. We did this even when we lived 2,000 miles way from each other.

* I love how he can make me laugh and we have the same weird sense of humor.

* I love that he is my best friend and we could talk about anything.

* I love that he takes care of me when I'm sick.

* I love that he's very affectionate.

* I love that when he saw how obsessed I was with the Twilight books about a year ago, he read Twilight too, just so he could share my excitement with me and be involved with something I was into.
He liked it too, and we stood hand in hand...(no, more like huddled together snuggling like eskimos outside) in the cold, at the premiere of Twilight in the theater. We had to stand in a long line outside the building.

* I love the fact that we could spot a Michael Jackson style hat on clearance in Target, and he'd put it on and try to moonwalk and do the "Smooth Criminal" lean, in the store, without caring what people are thinking. hahaha

I love you Matt!!

derrickadee said...

Oh Lauren, I actually need some time to even get this thought to together! Check back soon lol :)

Jill said...

I knew this would happen...a few more:

* I love the way his arms feel around me, and spot where my nose fits into his neck. lol

* His smile, he has the cutest, most beautiful smile..and teeth too!! And ONLY when he's about to crack a joke or say something funny, his smile gives it away first because one side will come up like a crooked smile. (so edward-like huh? I thought of Matt when I read that part lol) It only does that when he's up to something funny. haha

* His hands. Love how huge they are that my hand totally disappears in them, and how when I have a headache..he can rub my forehead and it will go away.

(I may be back. Be forewarned Lauren!)

My favorite thing about the Hubs:

*He humors my crazy ideas.

*He's an awesome dad, and he lets M put bows in his hair. He won't even let me do that.

*He tells me I can dance and that I have mad skillz, even when the whole world knows it's not true.

*He keeps me tied down to the ground so I don't go floating off into outer space in my spastic craziness.

*He pity laughs at my jokes because he knows I have a mad desire to be funny.

*He plays his guitar and sings me songs. He even wrote a song FOR me. Score!

*He checks my gas gauge regularly and fills my car with gas because he doesn't like me having to stand outside at gas stations.

I write Hubs a "100 Reasons I love you" list every year and give it to him on his birthday. It's fun to write and everybody needs to hear "why" every once in awhile.

Allen and Ashlyn said...

see... I leave one comment and now I am on a roll.

ok. i have to say after 2.5 years of being with my man. i am still madly in love with him.

that being said a few of my faves are:
he holds my hand all the time
he makes me laugh
he gives me butterflies
he knows how to calm me down with a simple hug.
and the list goes on....

i don't know if I have a favorite thing he does, because he is not perfect by any means.... but thats ok, because I am not perfect... but we are perfect for each other :)

Awwww! Aren't husbands the best? They help us see our potential and keep us from doubting ourselves. That's definitely something I love about my hubby. I also love that his hugs seem to make everything all better. With our anniversary on Thursday, maybe I'll just do a post about him...

Jill said...

Back again, but it's due to being reminded of something from "Sara"'s post!!

Like her hubs, mine plays guitar and writes music also. (how lucky are we Sara?)

I want to share this:

Years ago he was playing songs for me, some that are known some he makes up. He started playing this one song. Only a part though. I told him I loved how it sounded. It was so pretty, so dreamy sounding. He told me he made it up on the spot, and he'll name it "Jill's song"

I've never forgotten the song. He also never finished it. It was only a part.

Years later we got engaged on the beach, everything was so perfect.
Best day of my life!

A few days later he gave me a song. It was "Jill's Song" It was completed with words! The sang about how we got engaged and the beach.

It's my favorite song in the world. I also made it his ringtone for when he calls me.

Aaawwww...such a cute post! :)

I love my hubby for so many reasons...but the main reason is because he makes me LAUGH. All the time. When I'm in a silly mood, he joins me in my giggle-fits. When I'm angry, he says something witty to help me simmer down. When I'm sad, he does this crazy dance around our bedroom that ALWAYS makes me feel better. He doesn't take himself too seriously AND he gives the greatest big bear hugs! Oh yeah, he also brings me coffee in bed. :)

My favorite thing about my Sweetie, the coach? He is absolutely smitten by me. He loves me unconditionally and he is BLIND! He tells me constantly how beautiful I am! He makes me feel like the most important thing in his world. I love him!

Violet said...

I have those girl moments ALL the time. My hubby is a tough one to take, an aquired taste if you will. He is VERY self oriented, if it doesn't include him, it doesn't concern him. I don't know if that makes sense, but I know what I am trying to say.

However, he has his moments, he is always telling me how beautiful he thinks I am , and how he thinks I don't give myself enough credit for the things that I am capable of doing. Well, and not to mention when he introduces me, he is always tacking on, I don't know how or why she has stayed with me for so long (we have been together for 18 years, married for 13 of them), but I am sure glad she has.

So like I said, he has his moments.

LeLe said...

My hubby's my biggest fan and always says great things like he can't believe he got so fortunate to marry me and that I'm amazing. These are especially nice whenever I'm feeling down and they come unexpected. He's great. :)

Stu and Angie Milne said...

i thought only i ever felt that way.. it seems to be my favorite thing, feeling insignificant. husbands are great, aren't they? the first time i told stuart i loved him was after one of my "girly mumbo jumbo" rants, after he cheered me up to a point where i was crying from laughing so hard. he makes me feel special, loved. he knows all my quirks, but loves me anyway. he's never let me be sad, he always tries to make it better. he treats me like a daughter of God. [and he always reminds me to pray when i'm feeling some low self-esteem action] his hugs make everything else melt away.

i love the pictures on this post! and don't even kid yourself, you are EXTREMELY talented. i think you are fantastic.

My hubby does a lot the same for me as yours does. I love it when he kisses me on the forehead, it makes me feel so cherished!

I'm so happy that you and the Tedward have each other. You are too cute!

I love that my husband can laugh at me when I'm taking myself WAY too seriously. It never hurts my feelings, but makes me realize that I'm being crazy and helps me see the humor in the situation.

I also love that he still thinks I'm beautiful after 3 1/2 kids and almost 13 years of marriage.

Curtis and Dani Welton said...

My fav thing about my hubby.. you know those things that you are always embarassed or scared to admit, like when the bank goes overdrawn for your first time, or you really dont want the job you just applied for, or you really do want a baby even though you tell everyone that you dont.. When I finally work up the courage to tell him, rather than rip my head off like a normal person would, he hugs me and tells me that it's ok. Usually he is like why didn't you tell me that sooner? haha because I was scared! <3

Katie said...

Do you mind if I pipe in? Even though this question isn't really for me?

I don't have a significant other, and so times like the ones you're describing can often feel gut-wrenching without a loving boyfriend or husband to help me put aside my foolish low self-esteem. So in these times I turn to God and my family to help me see the person I really am and make peace with my short comings. And ultimately I have to seek solace in myself through God and learn how strong and worthwhile I really am, although often times not having a S.O. makes me doubt.

I love hearing you share how wonderful your Tedward is. You could not deserve each other more. And I especially know that you have no reason to feel low about yourself so I am so happy your dear Ted is around to remind you of the girl you are and how proud you should be of that. Great post, Lauren.

i love that my husband takes all of me, both the good and the bad, and chooses only to see the good.

i love that when i'm stressed, he helps me finish what i'm doing then takes me to a movie to distract me.

i love that he's content to just sit and hold me.

i love that he always makes sure that i feel loved and that i know that i'm the most important person in his life.

This is a really darling post Lauren. One of the things I love most about Bryce is how safe I feel with him. That was always one quality my dad had that I knew I wanted in my husband. They seem to have no fear. I know he can protect me physically and emotionally. When things seem too hard, he's always there to carry me.

During my "weeklong blog fest of love" I did a little list of the things I love about my Hubby on my blog. They were little silly things...and it was fun. :o) I did that because it would be too hard to pick just one favorite. Or choose the right words to explain it all.

But for the sake of your question, I'm gonna have to say my favorite is that he is My Rock (literally and figuratively). He supports me in everyway possible. He knows when I need him to cheer me on, talk some sense into me, make me laugh or just hold me. He knows me like no other.

oh and I love his random texts he sends me to tell me he loves me or misses me. It makes the butterflies that have lived in my tummy since we met go nuts! :D

Lauren, I'm so glad that you and Ted have each other! It sounds like you bring so much happiness to each other's lives.

I love how my hubby never tells me "no" when I need help. I may be elbow deep in baby poop, behind on finishing dinner, or haven't mopped the kitchen in ages. If I ask for help, se is always there whenever I need him, no matter the circumstance or the task. And he does it with a smile.

Oh, and he has an incredibly nice chest. ***sigh*** :)

BTW, I love your posts! It's fun to think about the questions you ask.

If I had to narrow it to one thing, i would have to say his eye's. The way they seem to look right through me to find the deeper problem when I am being difficult, or how they shine at just the right time to cheer me up, or when they aren't ashamed to cry, even when he is.
