style icons {stunning melissa}

Melissa is the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen. Her dark hair is absolutely stunning. She is the epitome of beauty. I love reading her blog...about all of her adventures with her darling son, Jack. She is the hippest mom I have ever seen. She rocks. I am delighted that Melissa agreed to let me feature as one of my style icons! Melissa does modeling, so many of these pictures are professional, and the rest are her own. Enjoy!

Q. How would you describe your style?
Wow, I'm still in shock that I am writing about my style, so to answer that question, I might have to ask an expert. If I had to think of a name, I would think comfortable, ageless vintage.

Q. Out of all of your clothes, what are your favorite things to wear?

I love to wear dresses. A dress can be "dressed-down" or "prettied-up" with the right accessories. If I could, I'd wear a dress everyday.

Q. If you had 500 dollars to spend at the mall, what would you buy and where would you shop?
I would probably go to J Crew, see if there was anything worth spending more than $300 on (such a dress, or their swim suits, or I love their shoes, and in the winter their jackets never cease to surprise me how fantastic they are) but then I would go to Nordstrom. They have a large selection of every designer and items I love and then I would mix and max everything so not everyone has it and try to stay original. I would most likely buy a boot cut pair of dark jeans, lots of t-shirts, I love cardigans that are bright, and of course skirts and or dresses. In my head while shopping I always think of what I have and spend the bulk of my money on the must haves. If I need a lot, I will see what Nordstrom has, then stop at Hertiage and see if they have similiar/cheaper versions. I also sew and like to add on random things to my clothes to make them unique.






Q. Who is your style icon?
Jackie O. She is great. I once had to dress up as her for a shoot. She is simple, classic lines, timeless, and sophisticated. She really knew what's going on. Plus I like saying Jackie O. Running a tight second place would be AUDREY Hephern. She danced, I dance so she knew what clothes to wear so she could be comfortable enough to kick off her shoes and fly by the seat of her pants.


Q. In your daily life, who do you think has the most inspiring style?
I really like how Hiedi Klum dresses herself. I would love to say that we have the same body, but I think we have a similiar type so I keep an eye on what she does. She likes to keep up with fashion but not go too far with it. She also is a mother and so am I so when she is dressed down, I notice that I would wear similiar things. I love how everything she wears is surrounded by her day with her kids first and then when she goes out at night, she looks amazing.
