last night's vampire diaries episode pretty much peeved me.
i can't even muster up the strength to recap it.
however, i will fill you in on some of my thoughts:
1. i really like damon.
like...i love him. he is totally different than "book damon". the only reasoning i can come up with is, it is because he was on LOST. that has to be it.
2. i really want to suckah punch elena in the face
no srsly, girl, you have GOT to stop blaming everything on stefan. it's getting old.
3. no one buys their friends a halloween costume.
when caroline bought bonnie a witch costume, not only was it not "punny"...it was confuddling. oh...excuse me guys, i have to go pick out a halloween costume for sierra right now, and force her to wear it...and she will, because that's normal and stuff...NOT. yeah, i just said "NOT" like it is 1996. represeeent!
4. my favorite part of the epi, was when vicki called elena a biatch and said she would rip off her neck.
I clapped, ya'll. CLAPPED. and reliving it right now, i am standing on my chair applauding her. FINALLY someone with some sense. who knew it would be the horse-face that would be the genius?

I didn't hate it. I was sad that Elena didn't jump on Stefan I mean...COME ON NOW!! You admitted you still have feelings for him, get to the kissing!
And I'm with you on Damon....I love him. A lot. He has really grown on me during these episodes. And this series is so much better than the books in my opinion. I'm reading the last book right now and I'm just not impressed, for the first time in history a series/movie has outshined the books.

I have never watched any of the episodes before and I flipped it on last night for about 5 minutes. But I think your recaps are hilarious! Your so darn cute Lauren!!!
I didn't, I actually really enjoyed the episode. I think it had a lot of action and dialogue. it was fast moving and kept my attention. And I totally loved that Vicki got the ax, so to speak. Damon is acting better which makes me happy as well.
They're taking liberties with the show, changing up the storyline, but it's all for the better I think!
I was very disappointed by last night's episode. Seriously...Elena needs to get over herself. My husband asked me if I thought "Horse Face" was really dead this time...he said he is over her dying in every episode.
Damon is rocking my world. He is seriously hot!

I was disgruntled with last nights episode...
I finished the first two "stories" that are in the first book and half way through the third story and they're really veering off of it-I like that.
I also like Damon in the series rather than in the books...he seems to genuinely care about Elena in the series.
Paul is still hot but how can you choose between Stefan-the sensitive one and Damon-the "bad" guy. Sigh...what's a girl to do?? LOL

Anyway, I only caught the last half of the episode last night. Still searching for the beginning online. But, seriously, I hated Elena a bit more last night.
But I was happy that she and Jeremy finally got a brother/sister moment. Because before, their only contact consisted of her yelling, "JEREMY! What are you doing to screw up this time?!"
Also, I felt bad for Matt. I felt worse for him than I did for Horse-face. He's such a sweet brother.
And I started to like Damon. Never have before, but last night he changed my mind. When Stefan called him and was like, "I need your help," and he came? Awww!!

I was so peeved to seriously not following the book at all, however, I don't even like the re-write! What the french toast was Elena a slutty nurse? I don't remember the "girls" hanging out of nurses outfits like that! Fantastic recap, I can't ever see or get enough of Paul's abs!

I loved it! Probably because each episode takes us a little farther from the book's storyline, which I seriously didn't like. The show is so much better! I mean, come on! In the show, I get to fcruch on BOTH vampires! And honestly, I like Elena. I think she deals with all the stuff going on in a much more realistic way than some other girls who fall in love with vampires (ahem, Bella... I never liked her much)
That all said, I also have to say I totally enjoy your recaps! And I do think the show could have benefitted from a little more ab action...

love the recap lauren. I have a couple things I have to get off my chest bc they are driving me nuts and I need help with them:
1. Does anyone think paul is going anorexic? I mean....like episode one he looked fuller, and now his head looks like it could topple off in some shots it's getting so thin! Anyhoots, I'm sure he wants to capitalize on his pretty cheek bones.
2.Is anyone else wondering how freaking long it must take nina {elena} to blow dry that ridiculously pretty long hair everyday?! it's crazy.
and 3. I heart damon and his pretty man make-uped eyes and cheekbones. and he does channel the grinch. good call :)

I didn't like Damon till this episode. Obviously he has some good in him because he told her to leave so he wouldn't kill her, and he erased Jeremy's memory. I thought it was really nice how she thanked him for that.... and even looked him in the eye..... Oh, wait! Yeah, she was a total slut in this episode. Annoying.

This episode was.. How do you say.. LAMESPICE. I was pretty glad that I had it on DVR so I could fast forward through the commercials and make the whole thing go that much faster! The best part was Damon, by far. If there had been abs it would have been slightly better :)

I look forward to your Vamp Diaries ( I just tried to shorten it to VD, but , uh, that didn't work.) recaps. They are awesome. And Yes, the fact that Damon was on Lost is a major part of it. :) Isn't it so typical that right when you start to be desensitized to a character's annoyingness, they kill her off? I did think you would be more happy about that though. I know I was. I kept thinking. Where and how are they going to go with this whole Horse mouth thing? (I didn't mean to capitalize horse, but I'm going to leave it. ha.)
I know that Elena can get a little frustrating but she is still trying to process everything.
I think you need to stop hating on her a little bit.

These recaps are always the highlight of my week (past the actual eppie). First, I'm glad that you realize Damon is the hotness (did I not tell you so?)! Though I've never read the books, I'm team Damon all the way (and I do love the grinchy pic LOL). And the cougar thing is hilarious! Plus, yes, who buys their friend a Halloween outfit? And a Tina Turner witch outfit to boot :) Plus, what was with the slutty nurse outfit (that Elena had lying around from last year - well who doesn't? - it's the CW, I know). I did cheer for horsey when she called Elena a biatch and liked her a little bit even. But I also cheered when she died (hehe). All in all the ep was a little meh (though no more horsey) and would have been better with more abs (you know, like either Damon or Stefan get their clothes all ripped up like Elena did, ahem). Which is why your recaps are 100 times better than the actual show LOL!
Damon is a hottie, Obvsly. And I am glad Horse girl is gone, but now I am really feeling for Jrmy. I know he doesn't remember now, but I get the feeling that won't last for long.
I had a lot higher expectations about the Halloween show. I was disappointed. It didn't get good until the last 10 minutes when Vicki died. My friend was a Vampire Diaries first timer and now she will never watch the show again. Epic fail this time...

I don't watch the show because it conflicts with The Office and Grey's Anatomy BUT reading your recaps is all I need. Plus after reading the books and watching the first couple episodes, I was very disappointed in the not-so-blonde haired blue eyed Elena and the lack of a Meredith AND Bonnie. Whatev.
But the episode next week...what is with the blonde girls cheeks? She looks like my old hamster.
