it's ok...

it's ok to change your mind.

yes, i stewed over this blog for the entire weekend. yes, my brother ty was pissed at me for not sticking with the first decision of just shutting down the blog. yes, i felt bad that i let him down. and then i remembered, why do i care what people think? if i choose to stop blogging one day, and then decide to blog the next, why should i care if someone thinks i am a flake? yes...i am a flake. and a pushover. meh...who cares.

it's ok to wear bright red tights to church...

i don't care if it wasn't the conservative way to go. it's freakin' cold at church! my way was much more comfortable...and much more stylish. plus, i can put off shaving my legs, which is always a plus. Holla!

it's ok to not make your bed (as witnessed above)...

if it means i can snuggle ted a little bit longer in the mornings, i am ok with that.

it's ok to read on a saturday night...

sometimes reading an amazing book ("City of Ashes") while ted plays "Call of Duty", on a saturday night, is the perfect way to spend the evening. especially when Golden Spoon is involved.

it's ok when your roots are showing...

but mom, seriously...PLEASE do my hair soon. i beg of you...and so does the rest of the world. kthanxbye.

it's ok to cry like a baby at this part every time...

this is the only part in "Twilight" that crazy Catherine Hardwicke got right. and by part she got right, i mean the D&G tux Edward is wearing...duh! what else?

it's ok to force the tedward to help put up christmas on Nov. 22nd...

even when he looks beyond thrilled to be doing it anyway!

it's ok to turn on the AC so you can pretend you are cold...

just so that it makes Christmas time feel more real. i am a firm believer in the AC-fake outs. It's arizona people!

it's ok for you to go here and see our anniversary pictures taken by one of my closest friends, Connie. tell her what you think!

Yay for coming back to your blog! :) And you are right...it IS okay to change your mind. I do it all the time! I love that you have your Christmas decorations up already...why on earth should we only celebrate from November 27 to December 25?
I was JUST talking about that part in Twilight, how it makes me cry every time, and how once I buy New Moon on DVD, there are certain parts that I will always cry at (won't give any spoilers here, though!).
Glad you are back! ;)

So keep it up Lauren. You have lots of faithful readers! :o)

You are so right. It is ok to change your mind, to force Ted to do things he doesn't want to do, to read on Saturday nights, to dress the way you want to, and in general, do whatever you think is right. That's why we love you, because you are firm in your decisions, even the ones you change, and you are a wonderful person who is madly in love with her husband. How can you go wrong with that?

You are Lauren and you can do Whatever you want!

In fact, you can change your mind again tomorrow. It would be sad, but we'd be ok because it means doing whatever makes you happy.

I'll trade you AZ winter for UT winter any day of the week. Though I would miss the UT winter for some sick, strange reason.

Love you!

I love this type of post. Not many people are so honest. You're right, it's ok to have bad with the good.Sometimes we all need to flake a little. I read your blog because you're a REAL human being that I can relate to. My favorite quote ever. "Be true to who you are and the family name you bear". Gordon B. Hinkley

If it feel right to you -do it!

Lauren, you are fantastic.

Loves to you!

Love love love that you're not really giving up on blogging because some people can't handle the level of awesomespice you deliver. Seriously, don't know what I'd do if the woman that introduced me to the world of "awesomespice" was no longer making me smile, laugh, cry, be jealous (you are srsly too gorge for words lady), etc.

I don't get a chance to read your blog nearly as much as I'd like bu it's really always the highlight of my day when I do.

PS Love that you're rockin the red tights to church :)

Best wishes for happy, fulfilling blogging and--more importantly--life,
rockiestwitwin :)

i LOVE your anni pics. so cute. and your style is the bomb. i wore argyle tights to church yesterday and felt a little bit odd, but stylish!

i'm so glad you didn't completely shut down your blog. i was seriously depressed when i found out. i almost had to go buy a pint of ben and jerrys. i probably would have if i wasn't a starving college student who'd already spent her food budget for the week!

Yeah, I wore just plan old black leggings and I got some interesting looks at church. I want to try some bright colored ones to see if I get even more looks. Haha.
Don't even mention the roots. Argh. I need them done yesterday.
I wish I could what little bit of Christmas I have, but my hubby refuses prior to Thanksgiving.
P.S. I think K.Stew looks better with brown eyes than her natural; maybe that's just me but I had to let it out.

Darling, wear your red tights. Sounds like too many people in your ward have Stink-eye problems!!

As for the tree, I might be persuaded to put mine up early but being "the Mom" it's just too much trouble to try and do Thanksgiving and Christmas decor all at once. My sanity must rule!

I cry during that scene too. Every time!

Connie said...

Bahahaha! That picture of Ted made me laugh out loud. haha! Oh men... anyway, I LOOOOVE your Christmas tree and decorations! Imma steal it when you're not looking...

Anyway, you two are so so cute- I was very happy you selected me to take your pictures! (:

OK, I think we were lazy Saturday night twins. My FB update was, "What ever happened to Saturday night?" It's nice not having to impress anybody any more.

I believe Edward's hair and suit are THE winning combo of the movie.

Lauren, I'm glad you're back. There are too many books, too many movies, too many fashion statements, and too many witticisms for you to read, watch, make, and say for you to go away.

P.S. Don't worry about flaking. I finally made an entry on mine after, oh, about a month. Who cares? Life happens. I'm married to my husband, not my computer!
