so, i have been feeling jaded towards twilight as of late...
i couldn't look at another "exclusive set picture" with out audibly groaning.
i actively participated in convos with some awesome ladies who shared my feelings that our once favorite love story had been cheapened. there are burger king crowns with "team edward" and "team jacob" on them! crowns! nuh.uh...they did NOT go there. except they did...and i was sad.
what i am trying to say is, i have been having a hard time with twilight.
i have wanted to get excited about "new moon".
i have wanted to get excited about seeing it at a special screening before it's released.
i have wanted to squee right along with everyone else.
but it has been hard to do.

Yep! I'm seeing it at midnight. So excited! Last release I was 36 weeks prego and staying up past 8pm wasn't on option. LOL
I might be! I've been kinda meh with this whole New Moon thing and I think it's because Breaking Dawn is still up in the air and it will be tough for them to make Breaking Dawn as good as it deserves to be in film without being lame.
But hearing the soundtrack... seeing the Rob pictures from Vanity Fair... I'm getting excited. I just try and ignore the cheap Burger King and Hot Topic stuff.

I'm seeing it at the 9 o'clock showing on Thursday at the Chandler mall. My friend rented out a large theater and sold tickets. The tickets have seat numbers so we don't have to worry about getting their crazy early. Yippee!

And yes. Twilight has been majorly cheapened by the fandom...its quite sad really. I have completely stopped reading fan-sites, because I cringe and groan too much!
I'm still excited for New Moon though, but I think i'll stick to watching the movies and reading the books.

I am waiting until a week after it is released (like I did last year) so that my movie is not inturrupted by teeny boppers giggling and screaming at the Screen.
Last year the wait was torture but it was sooooo worth it! I had so many friends whose viewing experience was ruined by little girls.

No. I originally wanted to but I chose to watch it with my sis who has kids and would be too tired by midnight to see it & be alert. Instead we are seeing it the following saturday for the matinee showing...meaning the tickets only cost 5.50 each! :) (Guess this means I'll have to stay off the internet until then to avoid seeing any spoilers.)
Heck YES I am going at midnight... Running fan quizzes and activities at my theatre... debating on going to Twilight at 9pm [people who go Twilight get first dibs on ANY seats in New Moon ;o) at least at my theatre]
Speaking of Burger King crowns...I was just at walmart and they had "team jacob" conversation hearts candy by the checkout counter. The little hearts said things like "dazzling," "bite me" and "lion + lamb." I wanted to buy some for you :)

I found myself in that same rut. Until.... last night I was digging through my closet and found a beat up New Moon book, and i thought... it is fate. I must re-read this book in order to get me ready for the movie. I can feel the excitement already. [the pictures didn't hurt either].

so i was REALLY excited to go see the midnight show. except, i live in utah, and the midnight showing sold out in like fifteen seconds. BLEH! i just don't think the next day showings are going to be quite as fun. so because of this, i too have lost my excitement for new moon's arrival.

Yes ma'am! At midnight, and also at 8:30pm that same day--before the official release! Our local theater received approval from Summit & allowed people to see it early if they rented out an entire theater. A friend of a friend did the renting. So excited, and convinced that Chris Weitz will give us a New Moon MUCH better than Twilight on the big screen.
Yep. Got my tickets about a month ago. I'm taking my daughter. She's Team Jacob because when your seven years old you would be in love with the baby-man. Obviously....I'm team Edward. Love the pics of Robert, he is so hot.
My friend and I are going to the Sunday matinee.... we have kids and spouses and too much other crap to be cool and go to the first show so it will be on Sunday. I am going to pull out the book or my "book on tape" on my iPod and reabsorb all the awesomeness of New Moon... *sigh* can't wait but I'm afraid it will throw me into Edward withdrawal again... that sucks.

Seeing it 10pm on November 19th with my bestie! I pray for fans with level heads and sufficient book knowledge to not interrupt my drooling time with stupid questions and screams and OMEs.
My sister and I already bought our midnight tickets and are ready to go. I might bring Apples to Apples this time because last time we sat there for almost an hour and it was sort of BORING.

I do like the pictures. But I'm still not excited for New Moon like I should be. I agree with you that the commercialism of it all has cheapened the story- and I never say things like that! I didn't like these pictures. Not at all. They're not hot, they're in no way attractive, and they've totally ruined his cred, in my eyes. He's succumbed to the Hollywood media machine & not stayed true to himself, which he's said in past interviews is his biggest fear. He needs to spend a year in England, finding himself all over again.
But whatever. People can continue to lose their shiz over him. I like him, I do. But these pictures are just so-so to me.

I AM!! I am totally excited and I have to say that (please don't hate me) most people I know who watch the Vampire Diaries all of a sudden do not have the same interest in Twilight anymore. Without realizing it they have gone to the dark side - hee hee. I have two friends who I once considered the ultimate Twilight fans put the words "Edward Who?" on their blogs after starting to watch VD's and that is when I knew it was a bad, bad thing.
VD is the ultimate "riding on the coat tails of Twilight" forget the Burger King crowns!!

Well now I'm feeling sad that I don't have any friends who rented out an entire theater to get to see it early. As much as I would love to go at midnight, and as tempted as I am to leave my children at home unattended, I think I'll wait to get a babysitter the next day and go.
Oh and Burger King has Twilight crowns? I am so out of it.

my boyfriend is a projectionist so hopefully we'll get to test run a copy before it gets shown at our cinema. i stopped looking at all the twilight stuff a while ago too because it got a bit boring and ridiculous but i saw a new trailer the other day at the cinema and it made me excited again, now i can't wait!
