sierra and i have been working so dang hard on a baby shower for our friend, kelci, for the last month. to the point that we have neglected our husbands, lost tons of sleep and have aching backs. even yesterday ted said, "lauren, when are you going to decorate our home?". i.am.not.kidding. we have been buuuusy. well, today was the day of the shower, and i am happy to report, that it went splendidly.
we had a "brunch shower". the theme was centered around birds. we love birds.
sierra and i wore aprons and worked in the kitchen most of the time....

a lot of our decor was from Goodwill, just glamified with paint and bling.
birds were placed on almost all trays.
and birdcages were everywhere...
we had muffins, and pastries of yummy deliciousness...
we don't like how everyone plays the same old games at baby showers, so i came up with the idea of having a "bow making" station. we had ribbon, buttons, flowers, feathers, gems, brads, clips and elastics. everyone made the cutest bows and flower clips for the baby :)
this was the bird of honor...perched atop a cutey bird cage :)

sierra made the cutest mini clipboards so that people could write baby advice, for kelci...
there were stuffed nutella pancakes, and blueberry pancakes :)

This is the cutest babyshower I have EVAH seen! I love getting chepo picture frames and painting them, it is all about the form. :D
