cozy.

as tedward says, "it's not 'christmas time' until december 1st."
i disagree with that sentiment, but whatev...
happy first day of christmas time, everyone!

we are going to spend it drinking hot chocolate with melted andes mints in it, while sitting by our tree, watching "star trek". Chris Pine, Holla!

but that's after we eat this yummy, homemade soup, of mine.

isn't this the most romantic time of year?

i think it's because everything is soooooo cozy.

My favorite thing is cuddling with the boyfriend all wrapped up in sweaters! It is finally getting cool enough that we can wear a sweater! :)

I totally love hot chocolate with peppermint. I spend way too much money at Starbucks getting it as soon as it gets "cold" here in Texas. It was 45 degrees and rainy today, I think that's as close as we'll get. :)

I love sitting in front of my beautiful tree (my first Christmas tree on my own) and watching my cats curl up underneath it. :)

Your tree looks awesome btw.

I love Christmas time. I love everything about it, reading stories about our Saviors birth to the kids, snuggling up to the hubs with hot chocolate, EVERYTHING! I love that I am not the only one who loves it either. You rock Lauren!

Oh yah and my favorite cozy thing is a blanket, my husband, and a movie. Or a blanket, some hot tamales, and a good book. Perfect!

My favorite cozy thing is to get all ready for bed, snuggle up in a warm blankie, and watch Romeo + Juliet (and stop before the sadspice ending).
That's pretty much what I'm going to do right now.
And, I'd have to agree with Ted this year. Normally I start Christmas season right about November 1st, but this year it felt too soon.
Happy beginning-of-Christmas time!!

Curling up by a fire (a real one is best but we only have a stupid electrical fire place in CO) next to a christmas tree with lights and watching a christmas movie or reading a good book is tops. Comfy clothes and hot chocolate are a must.

Nick & Kristin said...

that soup looks delish. recipe please? I LOVE hot cocoa with minty flavor! especially with whipped cream! yum

my coziest thing to do is snuggle up before bed reading Harry Potter with Nick, while the the electric warming pad defrosts our footsies :)

I love the fuzzy socks I got from B&BW (I know, not your fave place) in pink and red a couple of years ago. They have plastic dots on the bottom and are so soft and warm!!

I also love hot chocolate, and making chili and cornbread. We got to the Tempe Town Lake Boat Parade every year, and I bring chili, cornbread and brownies, and my SIL brings corn chowder. We sometimes freeze our tushies off as we watch the boats go by, all deocrated with Christmas lights and stuff. The kids play, and we all clap for the boats...it's so much fun.

My favorite part of Christmas Day is sitting with my husband after Christmas Dinner, after the kids have gone to bed on Christmas night, exhausted from playing and enjoying, and we have our hot chocolate and just enjoy the tree and the quiet. It's so peaceful and wonderful.

There is nothing better than snuggling up in footies with a good book in the glow of the Christmas tree.
And hot chocolate.
{'Cept it's not really necessary in Mesa...}

I agree with Ted. It isn't Christmas time for me until after Thanksgiving. December 1st preferably.

But I love the Christmas time. We just decorated our apartment all up and then we watched A Christmas Story. My favorite ever. I love sitting with a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows, cuddled up in a blanket, watching Christmas movies.

Welp driving in the back of a truck full of snow, wearing flip flops, All the way to walmart, on a freezing cold night is definately the way to cozy on up....FALSE! This is a lie, take it from someone who was dumb enough to try it. Hot chocolate with peppermint oreos in it is so WAY the better option!!!

My favorites are flannel pajamas, hot cocoa, snuggling on the couch with baby M and the Hubs and watching Christmas movies with no lights but the light from the Christmas tree.

We drink hot chocolate and get in the homemade crochet blanket and watch christmas shows. I like the old ones like white christmas and I am listening to Pandora right now on the Holiday Channel and also eating candy canes. YUM! Its starting to get so cold outside, its fun to have a fire outside and roast marshmallows too.

Plus my birthday is Dec 5 and Hubby is on Dec 29, so this is our favorite month!

The coziest thing for me is to curl up in bed, surrounded by blankets, and my collection of ghost-shaped pillows (they're pretty much amazing) and watch either old episodes of Sex and the City or some Disney movies, specifically Sleeping Beauty or The Little Mermaid while eating virtually anything from Panera Bread. It is the best feeling ever!
