Disneyland is amazing. And if you see Goofy there, be sure to say hi! The guy who is Goofy (almost every day) is a super-duper good friend of mine.

I have a question.
Not that you want or need to be anyone else, since you are amazing. But if you had the chance to be anyone in the world for one day, who would you be? :)

Oh my Gosh! I LOVE how cute you are in your "little get up!!" I need to know where you got your hat, because I'm pretty sure I need one just like it!

Ah, I wish I was going to Disney! I've only been to World, though, never Land. Maybe someday we could all have a blogtastic meet-up at Disney.

So, one question:
Do you think you blog differently now that you have 800 + followers than you did when you just had a few friends following your blog?

Natalie said...

I am addicted to the Disney crack. I love me some Disneyland. Have fun.

I have two questions. Feel free to answer one or both. 1) You share some very personal experiences. Does it feel bizarre that over 800 people, mostly strangers, read what you write? 2) Why do you not live in California? We need you.

Love, Natalie.

1st you are not weird, you're Lauren, and that's just awesome ;)

Question: Your pictures are amaaaazing, so if you could photograph or do a shoot with ANYONE dead or alive, who would it be? & why? :)

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Autumn - "Uh, what was the hardest part about waiting for Ted? What kept you going?"

Probably being lonely, and not knowing if he would want me when he got home.

Crystal - "Hmmm. Okay. Have you always been as fashionable as you are now or was it developed over time?"

Oh gee, thanks! Um..no. In fact I am so embarrassed by fashion faux pas in the past. Dude, this inspires a post. But anyway, I have always been very artistic and creative, and after I truly was able to find myself and be comfortable in my own skin, did my style really become unique and my own. I think that is why some people have a hard time with fashion...they lack confidence.

KatofDiamonds - "Where did you get your nerd glasses!?"

I got them from such a darling etsy store! I will have to send you the link. Beware, they were a little pricey. I think they were like 40 dollars. Hmm...

RatalieNose - "If you ever passed away...Would you want the Tedward to remarry?"

No. I wouldn't want him to, and at this point Ted said he wouldn't want to either. But...I would want him to be happy. I wouldn't want him lonely. So, I guess I have a conflicting answer. I guess I just hate the idea of him ever being with someone else. Because the entire time I have known him, he has belonged to me.

Sarah - "what is your favorite movie? "

Excellent question! It is actually a three way tie! 1. Better off Dead 2. Bedazzled (only the '67 version!) 3. Heavyweights

Abby B - "if you could go and visit any place in the world, where would you go?"

I would love to go to Madagascar with Ted. Not because I want to, because let's face it...I am scared, but because Ted is so homesick for it. (He went there on his mission). Oh...and it is about 40 degrees in Mesa right now.

Sara White - "Have you taken photography classes or is it something you have just done on your own? You are wicked good!"

I am embarrassed to say I have never taken a class. I am so ashamed by this. In fact, I should probably take a class this semester.

Liz B - "Do you sometimes wish you could have a white Christmas?? "

Not really. I really hate the snow. One year we drove up to the family cabin on Christmas day, and there was a lot of snow...and I was just cold. Not happy, just cold.

M - "What is the one piece of fashion advice you would give to the fashion challenged? Like...me."

Own a lot of basics (tees, cardigans, jeans, skirts) and then buy accessories that are in season, because that saves you a lot of money when things go in and out of style :)

Living in your Letters - "What is your favorite Christmas movie?"

ooo! I love "It's a Wonderful Life" but my fav fav faaaav is "Muppet Christmas Carole". It's hilarious!

Amy - "But if you had the chance to be anyone in the world for one day, who would you be? :)"

If I were single, I would like to be Vanessa Hudgens for a day. For obvious reasons.

Miss Priss Morgan - " I need to know where you got your hat, because I'm pretty sure I need one just like it! "

You are so sweet :) Go get one at Target! They are so cute and warm and inexpensive!

Brittany - "where are you guys going for Teds birthday?"

Disneyland! Our favorite place ever. I am obsessed.

Allison - "If you could go back in time to any decade of (America), what decade would you travel to, and why?"

Definitely the '60s. One word: fashion.

Dust and Kam - "What are you most looking forward to, after Ted's birthday and Christmas, of course."

My favorite holiday...MY BIRTHDAY! It is my favorite day of the year. I am serious. Looove it.

A new camera is tops on my Christmas list.

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Marissa - "What are your plans for after you finish school?"

I plan on running my own Interior Design Consulting Business. People can come to me, and I will walk through their home and suggest to them what to change. Make idea boards. All that jazz.

Katie - "Do you think you blog differently now that you have 800 + followers than you did when you just had a few friends following your blog?"

Yes. Completely. My blog used to be my journal. Now it is something different. Not so personal. I am more censored. I dunno...it's different. I no longer let anyone see my past entries. They are drafted.

Natalie - "1) You share some very personal experiences. Does it feel bizarre that over 800 people, mostly strangers, read what you write? 2) Why do you not live in California? We need you."

1. Not really. I am completely fine with all of you reading about me. I would explain it more, but it would take forevers. Let me just say, I like this little blogging community. 2. I ask myself the same thing.

sam - "What advice do you have for the men who read Mormon Bachelor Pad?"

Do you mean, dating advice? Or just advice for life in general? For dating: Have fun. Do silly, fun, thoughtful things for girls. If they appreciate it, then take them out again. For life: Eat Costa Vida.

Megs in Wonderland - "do you love me?"

duh.

Cara - "Will you come decorate my house? I love your style and I need help!"

Yes, miss!

Help! "Do you ride the Maliboomer? Would you ride the Maliboomer?"

No way! I prefer to not vomit on rides. Or pass out for that matter.

Alexa Mae - "would you rather show up to school naked one day or fart everytime you spoke in public for a year? "

Most DEF be naked. Dude.

Stacy Dean - "If you could literally, snap your fingers and it be done–what is the one thing you would change about the world? And you only get one snap. "

All of the mean people's mouths be magically sewn shut. Oh, and their fingers too. So they couldn't type mean crap.

Haiku Amy - "If you had to pick a fantasy world to live in, which one would it be?"

I would live with the Cullens. So I could look at Edward all day.

Mailen - "I just wanted to know if you and Ted were planning on having kids. By the looks, they would be oh-so originial and cute!"

Nope. We hate kids. In fact, we are allergic to them. JK...of course we are :)

Jacki - "If a reader recognized you in an airport, would you be super happy, or weirded out?"

I get approached on a weekly basis, actually...and have gotten quite used to it. I like it :)In fact, I have been approached at Disneyland.

Caitlin - "Do you think you'll ever live somewhere besides Mesa?"

Ted and I plan on living in Seattle for a couple years. Will it happen? Who knows. So, we will probably be in Mesa until we die.

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Alyssa - "Would you rather...be allergic to thrift stores or Costa Vida?"

Wow! Hardest question ever. I would say...Costa Vida, because it is so fattening. Thrift stores can't make me fat. Or broke. Win!

Ashley - "how did you and ted meet?"

We went to high school together! We met in Seminary. haha

Lorren - "If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be, and why?"

Zooey Deschanel. She inspires me.

Lauren - "what's your day job currently, and what does Ted do for a living?"

I am a receptionist for a city. And Ted cleans carpets for ChemDry. We are boring, obvi.

Staci - "Ok my question is: I know sometimes you interview your friends/fellow bloggers on here, but if you could choose any one dead or alive who whould you interview on here?"

Zooey Deschanel! In love with her. And I would rule the blogs.

TheresaD - "What is your favorite Christmas present you've ever gotten?"

Before Ted went on his mission, he bought me a ring with 5 diamonds on it. First time I ever received diamonds. I wear it with my engagement and wedding rings. Pretty!

Nicola - "Can I have the recipe for your pesto porkchops?"

Yes, if I can remember it. I never have recipes...I just make them up in my head.

Amber W - "How did you get so many readers?"

I am still trying to figure that out. I didn't purposely try to get readers...it just happened.

Kacie - "When do you want to have children? And how many? Does it count if its two questions?"

Thanks for answering my question Bee! :) Can I call you that? haha.

I will aspire to be more confident in my fashion choices in the future as I have a very boring style. :)

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Nancy Face - "Do I REALLY have to do your highlights tonight?"

Yes, Muv.

Sara - "I went to Disney World a couple of months ago. When I got into the Magic Carpet Ride, there was a Pocket Edward in my seat. Did you leave him there? "

No, but I left him in Seattle on accident. I don't want to talk about it. :(

Megan S - "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Well, technically, I am grown up, since I am 21 and married. haha :) When I graduate I will be a part time Interior Designer, and a mom.

Lauren - "What type of camera (and preferred lens) do you use?"

For anything that isn't a photo shoot I use the best point and shoot ever. Everyone needs a Canon Powershot Elph. The best ever. For shoots I use a Canon Rebel SLR. I don't know the number, haha.

Cloudaholic - "I don't want to sound weird, but if I see you in Disneyland, can I say hi and get a picture with you?"

Will you be in Disneyland? Please do! I love when I meet readers!

Trish - "What kind of camera do you use?"

See above answer :)

Trish - "What happened to Laurens bite???"

I killed it.

sassy shelby - "How do you decide what patterns/ colors are okay to mix?"

I am kinda bold. I like houndstooth with polka dot or damask. I also like it with stripes. I like Red and Purple together. And Yellow with practically everything. I just pull everything together and see if it works.

Emily - "What Etsy shops do you recommend for home decor?"

None. I think people price things too high on Etsy in regards to home decor...and then there is shipping to think about. I reccommend a thrift store! :)

MoreThanMyOwnLife - "1.) Top 5 dream jobs

2.) If you had unlimited money for an entire 24 hours, what would you do with it? Where would you go? Who would you include?"

1. I only have 2. Interior Designer, and Stay and home Mom. 2. I would buy a house and buy everything we need for it. Ted wouldn't come because he thinks about stuff for too long. It would be me by myself.

KP - "what is your biggest fear?"

Be attacked and raped. I get the heebie jeebies whenever I am walking to my car alone.

Busy Bee Lauren said...

M & C - "You blog about your family all the time, are you as close to Ted's side? "

We don't see Ted's family as much as we do, my family. But yes, we do live quite close!

sara - "What is your favorite scripture verse?"

I really love "As I have loved you, Love one another." So important.

suze - "So in honor of Disney-happiness, what is your favorite Disneyland ride? :)"

Space Mountain! Amazinnnnng!

Dani Welton - "When do you guys plan on having kids? :)"

Sometime when I am done with school. School is important!

Naomi - "Oooo...I"m so glad you did this post...I've always wondered what kind of camera you have? "

Canon Powershot Elph for everything that isn't a photo shoot. And a Canon Rebel SLR for photoshoots! :)

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Alexa Dyan - "Have you met Melanie Lynne and Jed yet? They told me that you guys moved into your ward. :) Melanie is my sister and Jed is my favorite brother-in-law ever."

Funny story, no...I havevn't met them yet, but they DID leave us a Gingerbread house on our doorstep. And another funny story...Jed was Ted's best friend growing up! Hilar! Small world.

Kris - "Is it weird to you that people who are a decade older than you read your blog (for sure not referring to anyone in particular)? How do you come up with all your cute funny sayings and names for things?"

Meh, age doesn't matter. If you are nice, you can be my friend :). As for the crazy words. I dunno...they just flutter into my brain, and for some reason, they are well received.

Loys - "What was your most embarrassing moment? Or is that too personal?"

Hm. I don't really have one. I mean, I get embarrassed over little things, and then quickly get over it. You know?

Whitney - "WHere is your super secret first choice thrift store?"

I will answer you. It is in the valley.

Tigersgirlgv - "What book are you currently reading?"

I am reading "A great and terrible beauty". It's alright so far :)

Maremare - "Is Ted going (or have gone) to college?

Hey Lauren, my question was spurred on by whoever asked you if you would want Ted to remarry... I'm not a Mormon but it was my understanding that if you "get sealed" you believe that you will be together after you die so what would the point be in a second earthly marriage? Also... why do Mormon's believe you can be married in Heaven when Jesus says there is no marriage in Heaven?

Thanks!

Busy Bee Lauren said...

Kelly - "What's the recipe of your homemade soup shown on your "Cozy." post?"

Um, I just kinda threw it all together. I don't even remember what I put in it. I don't follow recipes.

Meghan O - "Have you ever been to New England or the east coast for that matter? "

Nope! But we hope to go to New York City next December!

Vi - "What/who got you interested in interior design/photography & why?"

No one really influenced me. Both of those things have always been something I was interested it...from a very young age. I have always loved creating.

Laura - "Did you send Ted something for Christmas while he was on his mission, and if so, what did you send?"

I would send him big packages of goodies and fun things every holiday. We are talking EVEN St. Patrick's day. And we aren't irish!

Annie - "Did you think "New Moon" was better or worse than "Twilight" (talking about the films)?"

Heck Yes. Some of the cinematography I liked better in Twilight, and I didn't really like Edward's makeup in New Moon, but New Moon was better!

Lauren - "If you had to pick your top 5 items in your closet, What would they be?"

My gap jeans, my red pea coat, my gray boyfriend sweater, my vintage navy dress, and my houndstooth pencil skirt!

Jess - "If you could have ANY ones wardrobe in the entire world, past or present, who's would it be?"

You are sweet :) Um...Zooey Deschanel! Everything she wears is pretty and quirky!

Shannon - "1)What is your and Ted's song?
2) Were you and Sierra BFF's before she married your brother or after?"

We don't have a song. Haha :) And, no...Sierra and I became friends after her and Ty got married. She is my favorite.

Missy - "Do you base your color choices off of your "season," or do you just go with whatever colors you like?"

I once asked someone who tells people "their season" what mine was, and she said I was one of the fortunate people that can wear all colors. It's like the people with oval faces that can pull off any hair cut. (I am not one of those people). I guess I am lucky. However, I think people should wear whatever they want :)

1autumn - "what would you call your designing style? Also what would you call a staple or must have in your home to get that look?"

My personal style is eclectic and quirky. However, my professional designing style is widespread. I am confident I can design in any style a client would ask for. As for achieving my personal style, I think lots of red and black are needed to achieve my look. ie: a red sofa with black pillows.

Mercy - "Where did you get that adorable hat, I've been looking for one just like it!"

Target! Go get one!

Tiffany - "My husband and I have lived in our house for almost two years with no room completed! How do you suggest to tackle an empty house without knowing how to decorate?"

Ok, first, only do one room at a time. Take time to really think about what defines you two as a couple. Do you like to laugh a lot together? Maybe have a more upbeat, bright room. Do you like to snuggle a lot? Maybe a more muted, toned down room. Think about you guys personally...not what's in style. What will fit your needs? I will be posting more about this. This question intrigues me.

Emily Sue - "I have a kinda quick one! so, what kind of mascara do you use? your eyelashes are AMAZING."

I have used "Almay" in "Raisin Quartz" for forevers...but am now using Great Lash "Big" in Brown-Black. I thank Lula for pointing me in that direction. It's amazing.

Cajsa - "Will come help me decorate my house and then come shopping and teach me how to put together an outfit since I stink at doing it myself?!"

I'd love to :)

Taylor Norris - "I'm not a Mormon but it was my understanding that if you "get sealed" you believe that you will be together after you die so what would the point be in a second earthly marriage? Also... why do Mormon's believe you can be married in Heaven when Jesus says there is no marriage in Heaven?"

I'm not the best person to answer the question, because I am not very good with words when it comes to my church's beliefs, but here goes. First, LDS couples marry for time and eternity. So, we are married here on earth, and in heaven forever. So, if Ted were to die, and down the road I decided to marry, I could marry for "time". Meaning, here on this earth...but I would married for ted forever in heaven. I don't really see the point, so that won't be happening...even if Ted did die. (sad to think about). As for the other part of your question, I know very little about other church's doctrine...I am kind of ignorant when it comes to that. However, in our church we firmly believe in marriage in heaven. Thanks for the thought provoking question! :)

Mikaela - "Why is "Mormon Bachelor Pad" a team member for your blog?"

Excellent question...why ARE they? haha, jk. I get haters, so they kindly offered to moderate my comments for me. So, they read these comments before they go to me. They don't post, though.

Alexandria - "Do your readers ever bug you? "

Only the ones that are mean. Or the ones that expect things from me. But for the most part, I love you all!

Can you recommend a new book series to read? I have read Twilight, The Hunger Games series and most recently just finished the Mortal Instruments series. I need a series that is easy to read and keeps you hooked, I hate plane rides and I will be flying in a few weeks:) Thanks!

If you could have a sit-down dinner with 8 people - living or dead - in addition to Ted, who would you choose and why?

What are the Tedward's character traits/characteristics that you appreciate most now that you have been married to him for a year?

Did you ever want to go to some huge university like BYU?

do you use photoshop (or something similar) to change the colours/tones/contrast etc in your photos? (which, by the way, are always a joy to look at)

Want to bring something to FHE Monday? I'm dolling out assignments but haven't figured out yet if I want you to bring pretzel sticks or something to put the treats together cute with (like the plates or bags for the pretzels or something). Also, do you guys have a fondue pot by any chance?

Stephanie - "Can you recommend a new book series to read?"

I am in the process of finding a good series. I just started the Libba Bray series, but I dunno how I like it.

mpierce - "If you could have a sit-down dinner with 8 people - living or dead - in addition to Ted, who would you choose and why?"

Zooey Deschanel, Grace Kelly, Gene Kelly, Zac Efron, Paul Wesley, Ellen, Leigh Anne Litton, and Ted. Because they are all awesome, and I love them all.

Lindsay - "What are the Tedward's character traits/characteristics that you appreciate most now that you have been married to him for a year?"

I don't think marriage helped me appreciate him more. I have always been very in love with him. Our love has grown, but I don't think I can physically appreciate him more than I do. haha

Lauren Elizabeth - "Did you ever want to go to some huge university like BYU?"

I am not a BYU fan. At all. And no, I don't want to go to a big university. I do better in small settings.

becky - "do you use photoshop (or something similar) to change the colours/tones/contrast etc in your photos?"

Yes! I love adding in more yellow to some photos, and more blue to others! I also add some distressing to antique it. Awesome.

Ok, so I was just wondering if you ever read the Mercy Thompson series...and if you looked at it and decided not to read it, what turned you away? No pressure...just curious!

No question from me, I'm pretty sure everyone has asked everything under the sun, and I don't have anything interesting to ask, just wanted to say that, that picture is full of awesomeness. I love love love the hat/glasses combo, the coloring of the photo and esp. the expression on your face! It's all absolutley adorable!

Do you print out your blog posts or will you make a book out of them since it is like a journal? I'm always afraid blogger is going to die one day or something and I will lose my posts.
