i like being me.

today i decided that i really like being me.

Align Center
i'm weird.
i wear colorful tights, and wacky outfits.
i tap dance.
i sometimes tell off-color jokes.
i say "pissed" way too much.
i like 50 cent more than most people.
i love the movie "bedazzled" ('67 version) and "harold and maude".
i wear nerdy glasses that don't have a prescription.
i like old things because they have "character".
i love disney, everything.
i'm different, and i am ok with that.
in fact...i thrive on that.

i also love the friends in my life.
the ones that texted me today, and made me feel loved.
i love my family.
i love my dad. i work in the same office as him now, and i have been watching him in awe. he is literally the hardest working man i have ever met. he is such a great man, and everyone loves him.
i love my quiet mornings while i eat my veggie sandwich and read my scriptures...

i love my warm blankies.
i love when ted wakes me up to say "Bye Bye" before he goes to work.
i love my ted.
he is my life.
and i love my life.

Lauren, you remind me so much of my boyfriend's sister in the way that you just don't care what people think. You just do what you want. I find that admirable.
And also, I showed my mom your blog recently and she decided that you look like Christie Brinkley. =)

I love you and your colored tights! I wish I could wear them like you do!

I need to get better about commenting...sorry :( But rock on for being comfy in your own skin. That is what made me love your blog so much in the first place many months ago. You are amazing and at times I think to myself {when I'm that imperfect natural man ;) and compare) why am I not more ambitious? You are wonderful! and I am super happy that you are still blogging!

Having your own personality and not worrying about being like everybody else is the only way we can be happy with our lives. I'm different compared to all of my friends, and I'm proud of it. My friends are so different compared to each other, and I love them all. And I love your blog because your posts are about being happy and grateful for what we have.

All those things you said about yourself is why I love ya! I know this will sound like a yearbook signing but "don't ever change!"

I love the movie Bedazzled, too! The 1967 version is way better than the reboot.

The other day I realized that I like who I am too. I don't mind my loner status, my weird humour, my sarcastic cynical self and I like my pleather jacket :)
Isn't it a great feeling to love yourself?

Lauren,

I love you, and your quirkness, and ya style. But I have to tell you something... no offense. And this is coming from someone who does not enjoy veggies, and loves meat. But that veggie sammie looks sicknast!

Love ya! lol :)

OK - so not to sound weird and all, but I'm kinda thinking it's sad I don't know you in real life, because girl, you totally crack me up. I love your style & sarcasm - totally my kind of girl. In fact, you even inspired me to wear a vintage dress and plum-colored tights to my Christmas party - which would never have normally happened before stumbling onto your awesome blog. You rock, girlie-o. Don't stop believin'!

Awww, Lauren, you are truly awesomespice! Though I don't know you in real life, I think you are hilarious and super adorable. Your blog always cheers me up and makes me want to cyberhug you, srsly! Plus, now I wear tights (and pearls that the hubby has commented look pretty) because of you too :) Oh, and that sammich looks yummy (is that avocado, aka the best food ever?).
