on the eve of christmas...

on the morning of christmas eve, i woke up at 5 am to make a homemade carrot cake.
i woke ted up too, to help me grate the carrots, because i knew i would run out of time before i had to go to work. as the cake was baking in the oven, i showered. and when i came out, ted had made us breakfast. we watched a little bit of "sleepless in seattle" before i had to run out the door to work.

i only had to work a half day, so i rushed home and decorated the cake with homemade frosting, and changed clothes and ran out the door to a photo shoot.

right after the photo shoot, i rushed over to the "face" family annual christmas eve party.
the food was excellent, the company was smashing, and the presents rocked! fun times.

after we got home, ted wanted to start a new tradition of opening one gift on christmas eve.
i was down with that...

i liked our wrappings this year. polka dots, damask, stripes and houndstooth. yaaaay!
I picked out ted's gift to open, because it also contained a gift for me inside it...

my good friend carter sent me a link to a site selling "otters holding hands" shirts. thanks, girl!
i knew when i saw them ted would love it. we love that dang youtube video...

needless to say, ted loved it.
he also loved that we had matching shirts.
so we figured out how to use our "self timer" on the camera so we could capture the epicness.

and then one of the holding hands...obvi!
PS...who else is freaked out at the orbs in this pic? creepspice.

You = amazingspice!

Free floating orbs are better than the kind that circle your head in halo style.

Cool shirts.

Super cool wrappings.
