missing dress.

and i am fairly certain that my favorite vintage dress was stolen from the laundry room at our apartment. i think this, because a few weeks after we moved in, a woman had her clothes stolen. i warned ted that i didn't want my clothes washed there for that very reason, but ted...being a sweet, forgetful fellow, washed them anyway. that is the last time i have seen my dress, and i have been sad.

in the mean time i have been spying on the neighbors to see if they are using my dress to cover their body, or to dust their furniture with, or heaven forbid...swat the bums of their really loud kids. who knows. i will keep you updated on the missing-but-probably-stolen-polka-dot-dress.

have a happy day!

ps. school sucks. kthanxbye!
no, really. it does.
kbye.

That is so depressing. I hate when things go missing. A really expensive shirt of mine went missing one day, and I've never found it.
I think a picture of your missing dress is needed!

This happened to my roomate and me my first year of college! We bought the same shirt but in different colors... It disappeared out of our laundry. We saw two girls wearing what looked to be our shirts the next day. When we asked them about it they denied and said they had in fact purchased the shirts... It wasn't until we pointed out that our moms had labeled all of our clothing with our full names that they walked away, without letting us check the tags... LAME

By request of The Boob Nazi, there is a picture. Please look closely at everyone you see to make sure they aren't wearing this dress. If they are, contact your local BBL liaison in your area.

Over and Out.

I am seriously pissed that dress was stolen, because you look absolutely sensational in it. I hope you catch those dirty, rotten , no-good dress thieves because there is no way they can pull that dress off like you can!

Love the new pics of you and Tedward!

I really like reading about your food choices. It's inspiring me to eat healthier, and eat more delicious items. So thank you. =)

You crack me up!

the dry cleaners stole one of my dresses once... actually they just lost it... but it showed up like 1/2 a year later....
GRRR I feel your pain.

School does suck, but I'm excited for you that you're actively pursuing your degree full time! It's a lot take on but you've got this. If you can create stylish headbands, cook delish looking meals and look fabulous on a daily basis you can handle school.

Keep us updated about the dress!

Hey Lauren! I dont really know you..but I found your blog once and have been coming back to it ever since. I decided to comment on this post because it made me laugh out loud when I kept scrolling down and new faces of you and your husband kept popping up, as if it was never going to end. So props to making me laugh, and I really like your blog.

I am so sorry about your dress! Hope it was only taken by mistake and will soon be returned.
A friend's underwear once disappeared this way. Totally weird, but less aggravating...

We always used the apartment complex's washing room for our laundry. But I would take over all the machines at once. While six loads of laundry were washing, I would work on homework or read. I was too paranoid to ever leave my clothes alone. I wasn't worried about it being stolen so much as someone else coming along and dumping my clothes on the floor so they could wash theirs. :(

Sorry your dress was taken.

I feel your pain. I had my favorite Billabong shirt from Hawaii stolen from the laundry room in my sorority house. My sorority house - supposed sisters - PSHHH! I sure hope you come across it soon.

If I see anyone in Canada wearing one, I'll hunt them down and get it back for you.. ha.

and yes, school sucks.
welcome to my life.

I too have suffered at the hand of the dirtiest of criminals...the laundry theif. Shame on them. Some of my clothes re-appeared later (they weren't nice enough?) so maybe your dress won't fit the theif and they will bring it back?

Uptown Girl said...

i'm so sorry that school sucks Lauren! just think, someday it will be far far behind you!

and i hope your dress finds it's way back to you... or else that it makes it's way to my closet here in nyc bc dang that is a cute dress.

school does really suck but after 4years of university and now, for the first time in about 17 years, not being in education at all i am being so much more creative than i ever was while i was at uni being motivated by the tutors and surrounded by inspiring students. sorry did i say motivated i meant mentally broken into tiny little bits. and inspiring. that can't be right i think it should read annoying idiots that don't care one little bit about what they're doing.
but i did manage to learn some stuff that is helping me now. and a few students weren't idiots and are now friends. so maybe it wasn't all bad.

these photos of you and ted are too awesome.
