breakin it dooown.

i think it would suffice for me to say that today was the bomb.
it started off with me getting to sleep in.
we then listened to the beatles as we got ready for the day.
then it was off brunch at cracker's & co...

i got the eggs benedict.
it was scrumptious.



ted got the cinnamon swirl french toast.
we were happy campers.



before we left, they gave me a brownie to take home for a birthday present.
i won't eat it, since i am limiting myself with sugar....but ted will enjoy it.



we used ted's hand to give you guys a good idea of how ginormous that dang brownie was...



after brunch we took a few polaroids.
ted wants to keep this one in his car with him...



after that we went to the phoenix art museum.



ted and i have always shared a great love for art. we have taken art history classes together, and have made many visits to various art exhibits. we love to pick out our favorite pieces in each gallery to see if we agree. it's fun :)



i found a twin.



and then we found my face framed on the wall...what the?



one of my favorite exhibits at the museum is the thorne miniatures.
they are mini rooms that are scaled down from actual rooms. all of the mini rooms are from a different design period in history. as a designer, this kind of stuff thrills me.

on our way out, we walked down a breezeway with a ton of mirrors...





of course we went picture crazy.





then of course, some more polaroids...while ted candidly snaps a pic of me.



after an afternoon at the museum, we went to scottsdale for a sprinkles cupcake!


this was a moment i was waiting for. after a month of no treats, i was dying for a red velvet cupcake!



i ordered a red velvet. tedward got a red hot red velvet, and then we ordered a coconut, and a chocolate peanut butter to surprise sierra and ty with.



the shop was all decorated up cute for my birthday...or valentine's day...whatev.





we went back to my mom's so we could light a candle in one of them...



and i made a wish...


after cuppycakes, we went and saw "dear john" (highly recommended).
and then had a lovely dinner at the beautiful Landmark.
