my first time hosting thanksgiving

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I had big plans of posting a big blog post about the things I am thankful for this past thursday, but decided that I would rather spend time with the people I am most thankful for, instead. This Thanksgiving Ted and I hosted the dinner at our house, and it couldn't have been a more happy day. I am happy that all of the weeks of prepping payed off :)

This year I am thankful for parents that are supportive and loving. For a mom and sister-in-law who are my closest friends. For Sierra and Ty's new addition on the way...so excited for the baby so I can snuggle it! So thankful for my dearest friends...you know who you are. I thankful for books and for the happiness they bring me. I am thankful for my talents. I am thankful for the home we live in. I am thankful for the church we believe in and love. I am thankful for our jobs, even though they drive us crazy sometimes. But mostly, I am thankful for my Ted. I am thankful for the love we have for each other, and for all of the time we spend together. I am thankful that he "gets me" and I "get him". I am thankful for the blessing of being married and sealed to him forever. And I promise to never take that for granted. We are blessed.

I love the table setup with all those super cool dishes!
And what a huge blessing to have such a wonderful family, and to have married into a family that you enjoy being around. I got lucky with that one, too... but I know so many people who aren't as lucky in that aspect!
Beautiful post. :)

This is beautiful! Well done. I haven't hosted my first one yet, but I get so excited when I see mismatch plates and pretty flowers.

This might be too much to ask, but I read awhile back that you were on a raw diet. How did you incorporate it into T-giving? Was it hard?

Thanks so much for sharing! :)
